I know there are a lot of ways to keep an editorial calendar, but this is what works for me. It's a prettied-up Google spreadsheet with a calendar, topics, notes and a shortlink.
I use the Insert --> Note feature to keep things looking nice and clean.

In fact, I think school is worst for the kids who do the best. Because if you get used to being told you are smart and good for learning what someone tells you to learn, then it's a rude awakening when no one gives you gold stars as a young adult. And it's a rude awakening when no one tells you what to do as a young adult.
An interesting read about how things have changed over the last 10 years. I love the internet because it has leveled the playing field in so many ways. At the same time though, the playing field changes constantly.
