I typically like BJ's. Their food is good and they have a large selection of beers. However, my family & I ate lunch there today and the service was HORRIBLE! Our waitress couldn't get any of our orders right & it took an hour to receive our food (and most of us ordered salads). We constantly asked for refills and rarely got them. The sad thing is the place was dead! I am usually lenient with waitstaff since I used to be a waitress but, there is a certain standard of service that I feel is acceptable. However, her service was just bad.

Was not happy with service at all. We get there at 6 pm for a birthday celebration. It took for ever for us to get to order. And about time we get our food fries were cold. Had to wait on refills. And we don't get out of there tell 8 something. Our waiter was very rude.

It's got good food but the atmosphere and service kill it. The wait staff is made up of inattentive and forgetful frat pledges will get something wrong every time. The atmosphere is chain restaurant fake with no comfort to be found. Hard edges. Stuffy mix of sports bar and NYC hospitality. Just a hard place to feel comfortable. Someone from the franchise home office saw Lubbock's demographics and said "It'll be perfect!". You can tell they never met many Lubbockites. IF your daddy's oil well is going gangbusters AND you really wish you weren't in Lubbock, this is the place for you. If you're from here and you want to relax with friends, try someplace with deeper local roots.

Normal BJ's. Likely crowded during dinnertime. Good tap selection.

Other BJ's I have visited are great. This one, it has poor service and food. I ordered fish taco's which were stone cold when they arrived at the table. I heard one waitress tell another, "the kitchen is killing me." How many bad reviews does the kitchen need before they replace the problems there?

Pricey, but legitimately good, which is a nice thing to have in Lubbock lol
