60 Minutes isn't the mainstream media?  Did I miss something?

Boring.  A natural cure for skin cancer is already found in the BIBLE.

Hahaha. Then the actual scientists note the statistical invalidity of Penn never actually tossing any of the balls at the ones not behind the "vaccine" plexiglass. The actual biologists note that selective breeding of microbes is playing god. The skeptics take note that there is zero assurance of a relatively random or ordered distribution of the little red/blue/yellow pins on each side, no control group, no double-blinding, not even a single blinding, not even a little!

Penn and Teller have lost every single bit of respect I've ever had for them. Hegemony shills through and through.  This is a woefully -falsified and blatantly-corrupt misrepresentation of biology and immune systems and ecology and evolution.  How does your insipid little model show infectious disease spread, when you're only using ONE VECTOR (the ball coming from the one side, no little pins knocking each other down.)

I could do this ten times better than Penn and Teller and prove the EXACT opposite, by doing exactly the same experiment but modeling reality correctly.  It wouldn't even take longer than a couple hours.  So sad that this is what passes for "science" these days.  The great philosophers would not even recognize the monsters we have become, corrupting science for the purpose of concentrating imperial power in the elite.

Well said.  Penn and Teller are obnoxious.  Regardless of the validity of what they are trying to promote--their argument was horrible and faulty, but I was never a fan anyway.  I don't know how can people can watch this and call this a scientific argument at all!

I am having so much fun at C83!  Here's our day one doujin haul (some of it is my little sister's); I'm going to do cosplay tomorrow, as Sam from Ozma!  Anyone else doing Ozma cosplay?  I'm so excited for day two and day three!

At position 4:24 this is very telling: note that "traditional breeding" is said in the same breath as things which ARE GENETIC MODIFICATION.  Just because you don't do ONE specific form of gene knock-out putting Bt code into random plant/animal genome.... Shaking my head.  Ugh.

All the other techniques they list can be corrupted to cause intense horizontal transfer of genetic sequences between virus, bacteria, plant and animal colonies.  This doesn't go into the ethics of creation of chimerae... I don't even KNOW how I feel about that, but USDA Organic does not inhibit GMO at all.  It just makes GMO a little more difficult because they have to avoid one technique or two out of many.

Thank you; the first day was bigger and more amazing than I ever expected!  I have been to the second biggest anime convention in the US (East coast's Otakon) and my sister to the first biggest (West coast's Anime Expo).

Comiket blows them away! I am loving my Japan stay so far.  Akihabara (as an anime, j-pop and video game otaku) was a dream come true.  GAMERS and Book-Off and all the little shops right under the JR station were so impressive!

Authentic Jamaican foods of all kinds! Many tasty vegetarian choices, too:the kallaloo sautee, curried veggies patties, rice and peas, macaroni and cheese, cabbage and onion, both sorrel and moss, creamed spinach, red velvet cake with a hint of rum flavor, provisions, coco bread... the list goes on and on! Great prices and friendly staff, I am definitely an immediate repeat customer. Oh, and like any good Caribbean restaurant, they've got their own variation of the universal peppa sauce :D

Big dog park with lots of visitors on the weekend -- a bit muddy in places, but mostly good grass cover.

Perfect location for being by the Osaka station and being able to travel around town and check out the local scenes. Walking distance from every kind of food or drink you might want. Large rooms and beds for only 9000yen a night when we stayed, very clean, fast Internet downstairs and a super-friendly and helpful staff, half of which speak decent English if you aren't comfortable with Japanese. Would absolutely stay there again!

Brought a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with broken glass but intact screen in for glass replacement. Turn-around was fast, but repair quality was low. There is lots of dust underneath the glass and the screen stops responding to touch often and the proximity sensor reads false positive most of the time. Messing around with the screen, mashing it down in different places, eventually makes things work, but it was obviously not a good repair.
