What once was Apple Annies is now just Annies - a nearly round-the-clock restaurant and bar-meets-decadent-takeout hub-meets-continental sidewalk café.

Excellent excellent food. The Fried Egg Sandwich over medium was one of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had. The Brioche French Toast was delicious and the coffee was excellent and didn't taste watered down. The service was a little lacking in remembering some of the details of the order and what was available on the menu; but, he made up for it in charm and a very friendly attitude. I would give this five stars but for the service.

Food was expensive, and lacked flavor. We choose to eat here prior to departing, and gave this place a chance do to good reviews. My wife and son both had a Burger, and were okay with those choices. The Club Wrap was the worst I have ever had. Turkey had no flavor and was over stuffed with spinach. I had to add mustard just to have some flavor on it. I eat my daughters club wrap because she would not eat it, and was still hungry after two club wraps. They were $11 each. You would think for $11 you would at least be full. The lady taking our order could not speak English well enough to be in her position, or answer simple questions about their menu. I would not recommend to anyone. The only reason I gave it two stars and not one, was the Burger my son ate and the portobello burger my wife ate were reasonable satisfying.

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever had. Went there for a late breakfast and the place was half full and almost seemed overstuffed. The waiter forgot my coffee and I proceeded to wait ten minutes for it to come while my colleague was waiting for her 2nd cup. Finally the coffee came and we ordered our food. We then waited 35 minutes for simple breakfast dishes. After finally tracking down our clueless waiter, he said our food should be right out. 10 minutes later and still no food. The manager walked by and we told him what was going on and to our surprise, he seemed even less interested in helping us get our food than the waitstaff. Finally, our food came and it was superbly average. Never did they offer any discount or sincere apologies. Terrible experience.

I have to say after a lot of hype we were very disappointed in brunch at Annie's. The service was too slow and the yolks of our poached eggs were hard - a let down for anyone who loves Eggs Benedict. They did offer to cook more eggs, but rather than replacing the dish, they brought out a plate of two watery eggs, whites included. Poaching an egg is culinary school 101, and it was not worth the price. I give it three stars because their baked breads are crunchy and delicious and the deli salads are great. I haven't tried the pizza. My recommendation - try it for lunch.

I would not recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Food was not that great for the price. Service was mediocre. Coffee tasted terrible. Finally it takes forever to get your food here. We have waited almost 30 min for food. We saw a line in front of the place and assumed it is good. I don't understand why people wait up to an hour to get breakfast here. We will never go back.

Recent reviews made us cautious, but we took a chance and we were happy. The English Breakfast with spiced potatoes was great; the Farmer's omelette was tasty and filled the plate. The first five minutes had slow service, but after that our server was wonderful.

Staff managed well despite only having two people on the floor. The bistro chicken was so incredibly salty I had to remove all of the skin, which meant that most of the flavour went with it. Menu was somewhat limited.

HUGE disappointment. The food was mediocre and the services was horrible. Do NOT waste your time with this restaurant in a city full of great places to eat. I make better food at home.
