Today I'll talk about what the Freedom of Panorama means in Practice, hoping that the European Union will finally introduce this Freedom.

You can watch the whole hearing at http://www.eppgroup.eu/

It's my turn at around 11:15am.

Guys, I hope you had great Easter Holidays!

I'm still somewhat in Prague mood 😊 There is no place quite like it. It doesn't matter which direction you turn, you always have the chance to discover some beautiful alley.

Finally got around to edit this one 😀

It shows the remarkable church on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square and the Žižkov Tower in Prague. That's one of the very few photos I took during that time, as we stayed close to the square right after our wedding in Prague. Luckily enough, even in those honeymoon days, Daria allowed me to go for some photos at least once 😘

Each time I'm in Prague, I have to cross the Charles Bridge at least once. During the day, it makes no fun at all and I usually take the less committed bridge a little further north. That also has the advantage that from there you can marvel at the Charles Bridge in all its glory.
During dawn, however, the Charles Bridge is absolutely amazing and the various statues welcome you in the silence of a Sunday morning.

Most photos from Prague are taken from exactly the opposite site of the river. I've shown you some shots from there in the last days. The place from which I took this photo however is rarely visited by tourists. A missed opportunity, just like most photographers pack up their stuff as soon as the blue hour finished – but why?

A picture taken right from the building in which Daria and me got married November 2015. Needless to say that Prague is a very special place for us. Which city is the closest to your heart?

Although the unique Prague Skyline is hidden in this particular scene, any tourist leaving the Castle on Hradschin knows this very beautiful view over the roofs of the Czech capital. And if you rise early enough, you can have the view just by yourself.

A lot of things about Prague off the usual tourist tracks you won’t notice on your first trip. So I learned to always stroll through the smaller alleys to find the less common places!

Prague is often referred to as „golden city“. When the sun is in the right position, you understand why – but during sunset it can happen that Prague appears in a totally different color. When we took the stairs up to the Letná Park, famous for the huge Stalin-Memorial that was replaced by a likewise huge metronome, it already looked like it is going to be a wonderful sunset. I’ve never seen the sky in Prague that pink before.

For me, Prague will always be something special. I studied there for a semester and I had a great time. Well, during my studies I had neither a good camera nor a tripod, but I knew I will be back one day. So when I finally bought my Manfrotto tripod I used the very next weekend for a trip back to the Czech capital. I know it’s the standard shot of Prague, but I desperately wanted to take it. So this was my first night shot ever taken with a tripod and I think it was a very good investment as it still serves me well until today.
