Inspired by Gertrude Bell on a recent camel ride in Jordan, I am no longer afraid to explore my own curiosity about new places.

Wanderful is a community of adventurous, independent women travelers around the world that strive to connect with one another, get involved and live globally.
Have you ever lived or traveled abroad? Have you ever wanted to?
Travel is so much more than booking a ticket or stamping a passport.
It’s riding on a crowded, sweaty bus for the first time in Barranquilla, Colombia. It’s getting hit on in Rome, Italy at two o’clock in the morning and not knowing how to get out of a precarious situation.
It’s eating your first Thanksgiving dinner with your American host family while studying abroad, or getting to know the woman who sells plantains outside of your school in Senegal.
It’s meeting friends that you never would have met otherwise, and challenging your boundaries and your limits. It’s learning more about the experiences of women in other cultures, and taking what we learn back home to make the world a better place.
Wanderful is a community of 6,000 women in 110 countries around the world — and growing. We tell stories and share tips about places we’ve been, we network with one another both in person and online, and we challenge the women of the world to be bold, brave and adventurous. We are pioneers, even in the smallest of ways. We live to challenge our mindsets, expand our horizons and embrace our world. And Go Girl is the community that connects us together when the earth is perhaps too big to cover completely on foot.
