There is nothing like a woman/ cross any border to see bout/ her family. Guns and afros aint but a piece of the party./ we come in these colors of the sun and our brothers. / we hide under cover of broad/ daylight. We carry blade and bible for what remains/ when we raze/ what's white/ ghosts blaze, and barrel-spit - we fire/ like what's bright. Bless the blood we shed - cross, ankh/ or orisha, we verb black, action and still as stone./ only love fire point blank and dont blink/ like this. We come and we come back for our men, our children, our cities new and full of light.
