My friend and I visited The Fitzpatrick Hotel this past weekend (July 28, 2012). The Hotel is in the downtown area and in a plaza. We purchased this idea through Google Offers. It was clean and small. The hotel was created in 1898 and it only has 16 rooms. We had a nice time. We even had breakfast. We also also took a tour through Miss Fanny to visit all of the historial sites. It was really fun and informative. We also ate at Talk of the Town Cafe which is right around the corner. It was SO good. The food was really inexpensive compared to Atlanta, GA. We also ate at La Cabana Mexican Restaurant and the Margaritas were only $3.50 for a small! Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this city!

We used the Fitzpatrick for a wedding reception and booked several rooms for members and guests of the wedding party. Amit was very helpful in setting things up, and Carolyn did an excellent job of managing breakfast and servicing the rooms. The hotel itself has been magnificently restored and has an interesting history. The rooms are very clean, well maintained, and charming. We do not get to the Augusta area often, but I would strongly recommend staying at the Fitzpatrick and taking the 40 minute drive into town.
