As this article points out, retro gaming has become big business. JJ Hendricks, the founder of http://videogames.pricecharting.com/, a website built to track the current market prices surrounding retro games, predicts the industry is worth a whopping $200 million annually.

I too sell games on the web. We've tested embedding ebay listings on a small number of games we host online, and the results have been pretty good. Only 2 pages on our site include the ads, both of which are moderate in their amounts of traffic, as we're slowly testing to see what produces more positive results.

The Old School Game Vault (Brandon) who helps moderate and manage this community has been in the business of buying and selling classic titles for over a decade. From my experience on ebay and with this community, I have to say retro gaming is alive and well today.

Even the "not so old" consoles, like the original XBOX and the PS2 have various titles that go for good money. A mint copy of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis on the original XBOX can fetch as much as $175.00, and older classics on consoles such as the NES can rake in thousands.
