As a survivor, I understand what it is to not want to see or speak to those who have hurt you.

When we have experienced trauma and pain we naturally seek to avoid it, to hide from it.

These 4 steps can help when embarking towards recovery following past abuse.

A helpful and lovely insight from an esteemed colleague Tim Hill on the possible effects of anxiety in a relationship.

I especially love Tim's call to be more empathic to the fears of an anxious partner; to make time to talk about what they see as the issue and attempting to understand why they see things this way.

Tim explains how this empathy can facilitate calmness for an anxious partner; helping them to feel less alone knowing their partner is standing by them through their fears.

You can't change your partner; but you can help to foster positive change when you make the effort to understand their point of view.

Great work Tim! :)
