Staff was awesome and the room was very clean and was NOT dated!!! Grounds were clean and picked up. The battery was dead in the safe and after we called the front desk maintenance was knocking on the door within the hour (20-30 min) and was very courteous while he was inside the room. Look forward to staying here again!!!!! Thanks

This place is so wonderful. My boyfriend and I stayed here last year at the end of May and it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. We had an ocean view from our room which was so clean, incredibly peaceful, beds were so comfortable and also had a kitchenette. It was extremely affordable even after staying 4 nights. We really enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast buffet was cheap and delicious, staff was friendly and accommodating and assisted us with getting discounted tickets to all the attractions in the area. Everything was very closely located to the hotel, not more than a 15 minute drive to restaurants, attractions and shops. We will definitely be coming back! I LOVE YOU CARAVELLE!!!!

We first got here and the lobby smelled terribly like chemicals. The staff was excellent our whole stay. We got our room and discovered the door locks were damaged, so they gave us a new room. The breakfast here equals about a shoney's in quality. The rooms were fairly clean. Few crumbs and lint under the bed in the hard to get areas, beds looked fairly new and clean. The mattress and pillows were all fairly firm and stiff as well. It smells bad in several random areas of the hotel. But, all in all, it was a decent budget friendly hotel. The facilities seem to be going through upgrades, but it's not a luxury hotel by any means.

They didn't supply towels or toilet paper for the week. They provided one TP and 3 towels and stated that's all you get. If you plan to do an web surfing, forget it. The internet constantly disconnects, and if you movie your device, it will disconnect. If it stays on its extremely slow. The room is highly outdated. 32 inch tv that I had to program to work when arriving, is extremely small for the room size. The only beneficially thing with this stay was room was large and on beach. The pool was over run by children everyday at every hour. even though there was a kiddy area, it did not limit them. We arrived to extremely dirty and nasty sheets and towels that took hours to replace. Each night, someone reported there car being broke into. Also the little snack shack by the pool is absolutely pitiful. waited 30 minutes for slice of pizza and wrap to which it never came. long process of getting money back. The parking garage was a nightmare as it is tight and small. The elevators are always small and slow for a "resort" Overall you might save money wise with this stay but paying more is much more worth it for the service you will want. I would not recommended this "resort" to anyone.

The room is great. We have a good view of the ocean and we actually have a decent kitchen area with a 3/4 fridge and stove and microwave. The only thing that isn't fantastic is the bed. It's waaaaay overly springy which is terrible when you toss and turn at night and scare yourself/honey awake. The lazy river is way small too. I thought it would circle the entire hotel. It's basically a small pool with jets in it. It was fun for a little while. I think 90% of the guests have children, so it's not an adult oasis. But you can't beat this view.

The reviews we'd read on the Caravelle before booking our stay were all glowing. Someone must have been paid to write them. Here is the truth. Knowing that we had young children with us, they put us in a 3rd floor unit, with no elevator. Anyone with common sense knows that when you have young children along, there will be a lot of extra supplies needed. So we had to lug everything up all those stairs! We got into the unit to find it was roasting in there. Immediately turned the a/c lower and thought we'd give it some time to cool down. Then found a leak in the kitchen ceiling, causing a puddle on the floor. Called to have it repaired and left to check out the pools and beach; totally expecting the room to be much cooler when we returned. Instead, it was Hotter! Then we found that none of the bathroom outlets or hair dryers worked. Continually tried calling maintenance and the front desk. Neither one answered our repeated calls. Finally I went to the office. I had to wait in the same line as for check in, as they don't have separate ones, depending on why you're in there. The man and his son in front of me where there to have their room changed also. They said it was filthy and had bugs. Once I finally got to the associate, they couldn't just easily change our room, they had to bring out a manager. She did move us to a first floor unit. OK, if this unit was available--again, knowing we had young children and therefore extra supplies with us, why weren't we given it originally? It was nicer and everything worked, but it had roaches! We felt we had to stay anyway. There was no offer to help us move all of our things at all either. Through all of this, we had repeatedly asked and told them why we desperately needed a unit with wifi, but never did get that. It had not been told to us when making the reservation that NOT all of their rooms and units have wifi. Our son-in-law had online homework for his college classes that he had planned on getting done there. It was severely hampered by not having wifi in the unit. Besides all of this, we tried for days to get the discount tickets the resort advertises having for Ripley's Aquarium. They never had any our entire time there! We were also never given the MVP discount card they advertise. In total, while we had a good time at Myrtle Beach overall, this resort is a disaster. I have now contacted them four times about my husbands college cap he thinks he lost on the property and they will not even respond as to if it was found or not. They are not nearly as friendly or helpful as they claim to be and some of this property is horrible.

It was dirty and it looked like stuff taken out of the 70's. Not at all what I thought I was paying for. The pool was always full so no where to sit. They had us right above there out side bar so from our room we got to watch people throwing up and a few fights and always loud. They knew when we booked it we had a six year old with us. Also the parking is a nightmare. The main parking fills up very fast and no one tells you there isn't a turn around when you reach the 6th floor. We had a big car so was very hard and long to turn around when it's full. We did park across the street and walked through the dark garage to our hotel. I also let them know up front we had a handicap person with us and this isn't a handicap friendly place. In all six floors of parking a only two where for handicap. Not even sure if any where across the street or not. Would never go back there again.

The Jacuzzi Suite is awesome. Room 316 is at the perfect height, facing the beach. Breakfast is yummy with an omelette station and buffet; waffles are superb. Stephanie from the Resort was super helpful in booking events for us at a discounted rate.
