Living in The World's Safest Cities:
Osaka, along with Tokyo (named the world’s safest city), Amsterdam, Sydney, Singapore, Stockholm,
http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20150529-living-in-the-worlds-safest-cities
In these five cities, residents can rest easy walking home late at night and leaving their laptop unguarded. But they also know that safe doesn’t have to be boring.

Tech News:
Microsoft used to have their own Groups and MSN social network with free members / member profiles etc. In and around 2000+ they decided to delete everything and everyone, they abandoned the users who spent hours, days, weeks and months on these groups and web sites.... NOW they decided to get back into social network and are spending tons of money to buy an already successful PROFESSIONAL Social Network!! Good luck to them... Yes, I have a profile on LinkedIn but not the Pro..
Just the non paying member...
Would Microsoft delete all of us now?? SMH

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, Thailand

Mandarin Oriental Bangkok's Authors' Wing, circa 1900.
Built: 1876

Famous Guests: Paul Theroux, John Steinbeck, Ian Fleming, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson.
Thailand's first luxury hotel also holds the distinction of giving Bangkok its first elevator (installed in the Garden Wing extension in 1958) and first city spa, opened in 1993.
Suites in the original Authors' Wing highlight the hotel's longstanding relationship with the literary world, housing Heritage Authors' Suites, each one unique and named after previous guests -- Noël Coward, Joseph Conrad, Somerset Maugham and James Michener.
During World War II, the hotel was used as a Japanese officer's club. After the war Jim Thompson, Thailand's silk king and former co-owner who also has a suite named after him, oversaw restoration of the property.
Current room rates: from US$300. Mandarinoriental.com/bangkok

These days you're more likely to find a wedding reception in the Authors' Wing than an author.
