Our online store is up and running. Purchase a mouse-pad, T-shirt, coffee cup and lots more at our Mercantile Exchange. We get a buck off each sale, so it helps us continue our mission to preserve history and educate the next...

A great way to cool off during a hot Alabama day is to get a great frozen pop from Steele city pops.

Want to see all of Birmingham at one point ride the elevator to the deck of Vulcan. The museum also explains the iron industry and its involvement in making Birmingham what it is today.

This zoo may be small but it is not far from home being just south of downtown Birmingham. They do have multiple rides for the kids and a Dino exhibit. From what I can tell they are renovating the main entrance and hopefully they will renovate some of the habitats some were starting to look their age.
