Came here for a Friday dinner at around 7 pm with a party of 6, and we were seated immediately without any wait. The service is good and not rushed at all. Food, on the other hand, was okay with some major misses. The bone marrow starter was decent, and the lobster squid ink linguini came in a large portion (flavor was okay, though a bit too salty for my taste). The scallop entree, priced at $29, were literally three tiny pieces of scallops the size of a quarter, and the flavor was nothing to write-home about. A bit of a rip-off in my opinion. Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Decor: 4/5

Not cheap, but sooooo worth it! I've been in love with this place since they first opened. Though a bit dark inside during daytime, unless you are seated in particular areas, Preserve 24 has one of the most 'art-interesting' decors in the LES. Pretty much everything you see is reclaimed art. The wood, the bar, the ceiling fans, everything! And the place is pretty darn large encompassing an entire downstairs level where the open kitchen atmosphere adds another level of performance and visuals. The brunch offerings are pretty comprehensive and of particular note are the honey biscuits. Large, country-style, and covered in honey they are like crack! Everything else is equally scrumptious and well portioned. They also have a sangria bottomless boozy brunch. Clutch!

I went here for restaurant week. The place is quiet large and has tons of personality- read entirely repurposed space. There is an oyster bar that is made up of old boats and then there is a bar bar made up of old piano frames. I had the oyster sliders, the bone marrow, the chicken cacciatore, and the steak frites, and the desert shouldn't be mentioned because don't waste your time. The food was enjoyable but not stand out. I would put it level with a J Alexander's, which is a chain restaurant in middle America. With all that said I would not be adverse to going back here to enjoy an evening with friends. I don't think I would mark this as a date restaurant.

I would only ever go here for happy hour. As many dollar oysters as you want, what more can you ask for? Oh, and the oysters also come with a tiny bottle of tabasco :) Otherwise the food they serve the rest of the time is pretty good, but rather expensive (out of my price range anyway). The decor is almost worth the price though, I love the downstairs bar and pianos. Unfortunately, the service is terrible -- it took us over an hour to get our check and we had to ask multiple times.

Farm to table dishes. Happy Hour $1 oysters. Fabulous drinks and an energetic staff who aim to please. These are just a few of the great qualities that Preserve 24 offers. This newly opened LES spot is located right off Houston and is a great date spot for when you want great ambiance without all the stuffiness. I attended a Yelp elite event with a friend and was impressed at how well they catered to everyone. Preserve 24 is sure to delight many impressionable foodies!

Preserve 24 looked like a fun whimsical choice for a birthday brunch dinner for 7 people. This restaurant was an interior decorator gone wild dreams showcase. Jackpot! The faux rusticated floors, faux paneled wood walls. Antique Lamps. All in the quasi nautical, Antarctica theme. The illusion is all surface. No that fake water tank over the toilet is only for show. In the end you still have to flush with the side handle. We had a reservation for 1pm. 12:50pm: Checking in the host said our table was ready but since we were missing one person out of 7 they wouldn’t seat the group. 1:05pm: Last person arrived and now the table was ‘almost’ ready. 1:15pm: Table was getting ready. 1:20pm: The table just paid and they had to wait for it. What? 1:30pm: The table was ready. Service: Would the table and food make up for the seeming disorganized front of house service? Seated in a niche table with plenty of space was pretty nice. Our waiter was friendly and did a decent job of orders with the busy Brunch service. The food came out fairly expeditious after the drinks, coffee and drinks arrived at the table. Food: Lobster Eggs Benedicts. Rum French toast with fresh fruit. Chorizo hash and eggs. Steak & Eggs. The Eggs Benedict with lobster on the side all topped on a biscuit was hearty compared to its counterpart. The eggs were slightly over cooked but still good. Rum French toast was a bit on the dry side but I drown on the maple syrup does the job. Chorizo hash was actually very good. Nice spice. Steak & Eggs was well what it was. Meat was cooked as ordered. Verdict: The over-the-top interior tries a bit too hard. The interior decorator should have been edited down. The front line on a busy Sunday brunch was a bit disheveled. Service was decent and attentive. Food was overall good for the value. The birthday boy enjoyed his meal and birthday brunch and that was all it mattered.

I was super excited to try this spot during Restaurant Week. When I arrived, I instantly noticed the decor, which I loved. However the food was another story. The drinks were underwhelming. The fried oyster sliders I started off were mainly breading and very little oyster or flavor. My main dish of steak frites was similarly bland. The dessert, usually something I find hard to not enjoy, was disappointing as well - a small scoop of ice cream (not noticeably ricotta flavored, as the menu suggested) topped by a disorganized zig zag of caramel. I've heard good things about brunch here, although I'm not sure I'll be back to give it a try.

Preserve24 is a hidden gem in LES, I tried this spot the other with my co workers. There is something about Preserve24 which is hard to miss, that is it's old reclaimed art inspired decor. There was art all over right from celings to walls. I am a big fan of all the art displayed here. Those awesome wooden fans on the ceilings and tools displayed on the wall used for cutting ice really caught my eye. The place is huge and spread across 2 floors. They have two bars on each floor, there was plenty of space to move around as this place is so spacious.Coming to food I had the oysters and lamb chops, they were really good. They have Happy Hour featuring $1 oysters which makes a more compelling case to come back to Preserve24. Staff was uber friendly, one of the staff members gave us a whole tour of the place and explained the whole idea behind the decor of this place. Rumour is that they have some really nice brunch. Definitely coming back here!!
