The "Looking into the Future of HMG Desktop/Client side computing – London 04/04/12" conference has Microsoft and some open community support but no Google representation (from what I can see). Kinda surprised given their Chromebook and Google Apps efforts or has that push lost support?

Scary the degree to which Apple affects and could influence the markets, and yet only has relatively small market share for products like the iPad and Macs!
THE new iPad, which was released on March 16th, is the most popular version of the tablet yet. Apple sold 3m of them in just four days.

That is so cool to hear! I did my first one personally back in January, too - and I have done nearly a dozen now. They are so neat and the connection you make with folks is real.

Was actually looking for some other footage taken by our Cocos Island dive master but this clip really shows off the absolutely mind blowing camouflaging ability of the octopus and is the reason why I'm so fascinated by them! Supreme skin colour changing ability and they can also change the texture of their skin too.

Surprised by the limited ICS take on and wonder if getting all users onto a more recent Android version isn't Google's biggest problem by far i.e. rapid release of newer OS is likely to only exacerbate the problem.

Ironically similar to MS' Windows & Office problem!

Darn, hope they get that sorted soon, Ron!! I was able to download/buy Jamie Oliver's 20 minute cooking app on Google Play which is brilliant: gives you the 20 minute recipe, tells you how to cook, adds the ingredients to a shopping list and tells you what cooking utensils one needs to cook. Cooking for dummies in short, perfect for moi!! Probably available on iTunes I would've imagined!

The last minutes before returning to the Mudflat after a thoroughly enjoyable break. I'm expecting London's lack lustre weather to add its charm on arrival though it'll be nice to be in my place again. Got the last bit of the last of Stig Larsson's book (Hornets Nest) to enjoy on the flight :-)
