Red visited Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast over the weekend (Sept 5-7). Except for the wedding crashing incident (thank you Lindsey and Jeff Tabor!!), Red was a delightful guest. Red could be seen taking quiet strolls around Pheasant Field with Rehab and the horses; playing Jemima (our 1863 square grand piano); honoring our Veterans on Carlisle Barracks; fishing in the famous Yellow Breaches; and enjoying a peaceful hike along the Appalachian Trail, ending in the quaint village of Boiling Springs where he/she (??) had a snack at Caffe 101 and hung out at the AT Conservancy. Red was the perfect guest and we will continue to track his/her journey across our great Nation at http://www.redchairtravels.com/. Safe travels Red and thank you for choosing Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast!!

We have just finished hosting our second wedding.  Wow!  We've owned the Inn for less than two weeks and have hosted two weddings ... what a great start!  We send our heart-felt congratulations and best wishes to Rebecca & Antoine Bergeron (8/3/2013) and Mary & Thomas Kohutiak (8/10/2013).  We enjoyed making their wedding days special and getting to both couples and their families.   We have finally had some time to update a portion of our website.  Learn more about us by visiting our "About Us' page at www.pheasantfield.com (pictures will be posted soon).

Carlisle PA offers a variety of things to do this weekend!
Last weekend we had a number of Gettysburg 150th re-enactors staying with us. And even more guests who attended activities in and around Gettysburg.  The weather was hot and humid - just like it was 150 years ago!  Traffic wa...

The staff were exceptionally helpful. The room was lovely, very clean and beautifully appointed. Little touches like on-the-house snacks and beverages, towel warmer, selection of DVD's, real maple syrup, and tour of the building were very welcome. Being an animal lover, I particularly loved the house dog, who charmed me instantly. The common areas were very warm and welcoming, with ample information on local attractions. The lengthy history of the 1802 home was of particular interest. While I didn't have animals with me, knowing that it is a pet-friendly inn with lovely accommodations (outside the main house) for those people traveling with their pets sets a welcoming tone with me.

My fiance surprised me with a stay at this bed and breakfast for Valentines Day and let me say it was beyond any expectation I have for a Bed & Breakfast. Dee and Chuck are a.w.e.s.o.m.e. Really. If you are a history buff and like the civil war time period, you will love their property and the little surprises that they are more than happy to show off to you. The rooms are a wonderful blend of modern and antique - I've never stayed in a nicer room. Our room had a jacuzzi tub, a double sized shower with two shower heads, an in-room fireplace, tv, dvd player - it had it all. All with that beautiful PA scenery. Dee and Chuck are well-versed with things to see and do in the area as well, and even called ahead for us to a local restaurant so we would have a table when we got there. We loved it so much we are thinking of going back sometime late spring when the trees have leaves again. Plus if you are traveling through with horses, they will board the horses AND you! As horse people, that's a cool thing to us that we will be sure to keep in the back of our minds for the future. Can't say enough good about this place, stop in if you can to experience it for yourself if you can!

As I travel, I always try and find a B & B versus a hotel - some are good, some are great. Pheasant Field is simply wonderful. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed with modern conveniences. Breakfast was always both healthy and delicious. The owners, Dee and Chuck, go out of their way to welcome their visitors and make sure you are well cared for during your stay. Being unfamiliar with the area, they were so available and happy to help navigate restaurants, local activities and tourist attractions. I fell in love with the Inn and beautiful scenery that surrounds the area. I am hoping to visit again when I have more time to explore . . . but would really just like to visit with new found friends who know how to make their guests feel completely comfortable and at home. There is no doubt this is the place to stay when visiting or working in the area.

The owners, Dee and Chuck, make Peasant Field a home away from home! They have helped my family and I get through some incredibly tough challenges while on the road. Whether its been boarding 4 horses for multiple nights or getting advice for work repairs, they have been there to help! Nevermind how BEAUTIFUL the inn is!!!! Dee's breakfasts are beyond delicious!!! If you EVER get a chance to stay at Peasant Field Inn.....DON'T PASS IT UP! You will not be disappointed!

Everything about this place is amazing. We were simply looking for a place to stay as we passed through and found this B&B with accommodations that far surpassed our expectations. The property is very lovely and one can't help but relax by simply being there. I can honestly say that I have never felt more welcome at any hotel, B&B, inn, etc than I have here. The owners truly go out of their way to make their guests feel relaxed and comfortable. I am not one for writing reviews...just reading them...but I would do an injustice to myself and Pheasant Field B&B owners if I did not recommend this place to anyone who comes across this review. Stay here...you will not regret it.

My husband and I chose the Pheasant Foeld Bed & Breakfast as the site for our elopement. WOW! Dee and Chuck could not have provided a better setting for two people in love. The suite itself was GORGEOUS - clean, romantic, elegant, private, and everything beyond exceeded our expectations. The breakfasts were outstanding! We enjoyed the most delicious food - from blueberry buttermilk pancakes, fresh fruit, carrot-raisin muffins, quiche, and more! Dee and Chuck were so thoughtful and personable; it seriously was like staying with treasured friends or relatives. Dee made our wedding PERFECT...from arranging small surprises from our parents, to ordering the most delicious wedding cake, to making reservations for a private dinner at a wonderful restaurant. You cannot go wrong with the Pheasant Field B&B!! From a romantic getaway, to a special event, or as just a place to stay while passing through - you will want to go back as soon as you leave!
