Locally based in Tarragindi and loving it, Barb Johnston Property is a small business powered by huge commitment and backed by expertise. Now, anyone can say they are committed to their clients but my clients who have worked with me know I will do everything possible to get them a great result. My passion is selling homes and in a moment of contemplation one day in 2011, it struck me that the passion has been there for a long time. I remember drawing pictures of houses as a child!

Many of my clients come from the local area that includes Annerley, Tarragindi, Yeronga, Yeerongpilly, Fairfield and Moorooka. There will sometimes be external factors that skew matters beyond our control in the wider market place so I encourage my owners to take the blinkers off and acknowledge what is happening. I want them to avoid being out of sync with broader market. I like to smooth out the bumps, so to speak, and keep my eye on my client’s goal at all times. It’s in my practical nature that I like to keep it ‘REAL’.

My property business has evolved from 20 years of working locally in Brisbane’s inner south and my decision to step out as a boutique operator came in response to the preferences of my clients. The loudest message I heard was their primary need to know that I was working for them, first and foremost, and that the purpose of my agenda was to be focused on their personal situation. This may be an old cliche but you could sum up my business philosophy with the two words, “personalized professionalism”. Just ask any of my closest friends how much heart and soul I put into trying to achieve the goals of my clients.

But that is enough about my purpose! You can probably tell I am pretty passionate about this industry. One has to be. There aren't many situations where one goes to work with no assured pay packet at weeks end, cannot just call up for replacement stock when levels are low and is dependent on navigating human nature and all of its foibles to cement a deal! You will find us friendly, efficient, focused and in the words of one of my clients: “….and thank you so much again for handling our somewhat reluctant sale with such complete capital “P” professionalism. You kept us very well informed at all times and always offered advice born of experience when we needed it, and even when we didn’t know we needed it!”
