This record's going to be great. My favorite track so far is "206 Bones" (which appears to have inspired the cover art). Pre-order the album now, or better yet, subscribe to Vanessa's work on Bandcamp for fan-exclusive stuff!
the burden of unshakeable proof - pre-order page is now LIVE !!

happy new year! I can’t think of a better way to start the new year than with the new album. We have been working on this album for what feels like forever. I am so ready for you to hear it. It’s called The Burden of Unshakeable Proof and if that doesn’t…

None of the presidential candidates are talking about campaign finance reform.  We need a referendum to tackle it.

Aside from the falsetto parts, this is impressive.

My friend Bob bought a damaged Samsung TV from Harrisburg's Best Buy and they won't replace or refund it.  Before you buy anything from Best Buy, make them unpack it, verify that it's in working condition, and have them pack it back up all in your presence.  They can't be trusted.

It's actually safer to buy this TV from Amazon than Best Buy - the shipper would be liable for the damage.

The 1.1 version of the Puppet Enterprise-supported AWS module should be notably faster than 1.0 in many cases. This was achieved by working on three optimizations:

* A small amount of local caching, reducing the number of queries we make to the AWS API for large installs.
* Removing a number of unnecessary API calls — for example, for resources which we later choose to ignore or reject.
* Moving some queries into larger upfront calls to the AWS API rather than many small on-demand calls.

The result of this optimization varies from resource to resource, and is largely affected by the size and composition of your AWS installation; for commonly used resources like instances and security groups, we’ve seen a speedup of 30 percent to 200 percent. The large reduction of queries also minimizes issues of hitting any API rate limits, which opens the module up to managing even larger AWS installations.

R.I.P. #TDIM Chris Squire A huge loss & sadness.

Even before I knew I wanted to play bass, I was a fan of Chris Squire's playing in Yes, my first "real" favorite band.  It wasn't until later that I discovered I also loved his vocal contributions.  Rest in peace.
