I'll take one.
In a world already awash in screens, do any of us really need another one? Especially one that only displays art? Jake Levine thinks so. With his new company Electric Objects, Levine’s aiming to bring digital art into your home. The effort takes the form of EO1, a custom-built display housing a barebones computer that…

When we compare 23andMe survey answers to Google search data, we find all sorts of interesting correlations. For example, in states where people report getting the most exercise, there are fewer searches for chest pain. More info: http://23me.co/2oStmL

The words #policeofficer have now taken on a whole new meaning thanks to this little dirty secret.

Susanne Posel ,Chief Editor Occupy Corporatism | The US Independent July 8, 2014   While some have blamed austerity for the consolidation of police departments nationwide, it is clear that local police departments (LPDs) have become private security firms hired by each municipality to preform “policing services” on behalf of local government. In 2005, the US Supreme Court ruled that police officers and departments are not required by the US Const...

Story

I am what I am.
Introduction
Spent 4 years in military. Got out. Love music and the mind. After 20 years of not playing, I now have a violin again. I played an acoustic violin for 12+ years but I decided to go with an electric this time. I can now add that to acoustic guitar and electric bass. Now if I had a tambourine and was an octopus I'd have it made. My violin skills are far superior to my guitar and bass skills. I also sing tenor/alto working on 2nd soprano. It all depends on the time of day. I think in the am I'm almost a baritone, just a little creepy.

I also enjoy technology and am learning some programming. I like what is happening in makerspaces and the amateur electro-doodad industry. I like Arduino, Beaglebone Black, Raspberry Pi, etc.
Bragging rights
I play the violin.
