Story
Introduction
I lead ProjectVRM at Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet & Society. The project fosters development of tools and services that provide customers with means for both independence and engagement with vendors. My book, The Intention Economy: When Customers Take Charge (Harvard Business Review Press: 2012), reports on ProjectVRM development work and its implications for the larger economy. I also served as a fellow at Berkman from 2006-2010. As a fellow with UCSB's Center for information Technology & Society, I stuly the Internet as infrastructure. As Senior Editor of Linux Journal I have been studying and writing about open source and free software since 1996. I also co-authored The Cluetrain Manifesto, a business bestseller that came out in 2000 and was followed a decade later by a 10th Anniversary edition. My more than 45,000+ pictures on Flickr including many thousands shot out the windows of airplanes. Many hundreds of Wikipedia articles also feature photos of mine, licensed for easy usage via Wikimedia Commons.

Our favorite local restaurant, and we're picky foodies. The burrata, made fresh, is outstanding. Always crowded, for good reason — and relieved a bit in warmer weather by an outdoor section in the back. Highly recommended.

Worth it for the coffee alone. Much better than the Starbucks next door. The breakfasts are very good. Service is also fine.
