I am not a designer, though I have a passion for design as a simple admirer: it makes me simply happy to see a nice design.

On the other hand, I will cringe at a poor design the same way I cringe at spelling mistakes in a written text or trash left in nature. Am I too judgmental here?
If you're a beginner designer, you need to read this.

Today is my father’s yahrzeit ~ the anniversary of his death on the Hebrew calendar. Tradition has it that you light a special candle that will burn for twenty-four hours. While it is burning, I started writing about his life. You can read it here:

Join the Calm revolution.

Modern life is hectic and relentless: trains delayed, endless emails filling the inbox, kids squabbling before bedtime... There has never been a more important time to rediscover your pause button. Calm is the book that will show you how to take back a little bit of peace, space and all-important calm. This book contains the simple tools, tricks and habits that will change the rest your life. It is a practical and pleasurable guide to twenty-first century mindfulness.

Regular meditation is medically proven to be good for you - it increases focus and creativity, productivity and job satisfaction, mental and even physical health. But in reality most of us don't have time to sit on a cushion with our eyes closed for half an hour every day. And many people associate meditation with hard work and huge lifestyle shifts: you might be imagining Buddhist monks locked in a mountain retreat and living off gruel...

This is where Calm comes in.

Day # 3 of #blogExodus  ~ Cleanse ~ It is a necessity: there are months and months of accumulating pain, anger and negative feelings that are all clogging a healthy living. There are days, weeks and months of unhealthy eating and stalling in place especially during winter that are all clogging the body with its back pain and immobility. Time to detox and to start anew.

Kabbalat Shabbat ~ the reception of Shabbat or Welcoming the Shabbat. A cycle of six psalms are sung that represent the six days of the Creation.

"Come, let us sing joyously to Adonai (God), raise a shout for our Rock and Redeemer, let us come into God's presence with praise, let us raise a shout for God in song!

Congratulations to Djibril Bodian a local boulanger (baker) in Paris; France ~ at "Le Grenier à Pain" who won for the 2nd time the title of Best Baguette in Paris. It had never happened in the history of this contest that took place on March 22 when professionals and local consumers had the pleasure to taste the products and choose the best.

The bakery is located at 38 rue des Abbesses, Metro Abbesses ~ Paris XVIII .

As a result, Djibril's baguettes will be delivered to the Elysée Palace every morning for the next year to be enjoyed by the President of France and his entourage.

I find this gold mine. Love it. Because I spend so much time online, it does pain me to see valuable content ruined by horrendous design. Beautiful design without wow content won't pass the retention test, but sadly enough it gets more visibility and often makes the buzz ~ distracting and preventing you from promoting your own gems. Please, please, please, learn to use those tips! And give me style and visual beauty too!
As bloggers and content marketers, one of your biggest challenges is making sure that your blog posts not only read well, but also look awesome. You probably know why: Posts …
