Does anyone think this has more to do with Chipotle's product being flat our more interesting/better than traditional fast food?

I am way too fascinated on how people manage to find and exploit the cracks in some of America's best loved games.

Move over "Bringing Down the House." Black Jack is easy. Definitely beating Jeopardy is much more interesting.

Last year, the trend was away from normal people and back to "experts." This year, it looks like your neighbors, family, and friends are back on top. That's a huge shift for many marketers out there.

Today's shopper is a lot more connected, savvy, and mobile (and less manly) than I think we acknowledge.

So I really hate that this comes out of the White House's official platform, but man this is solid advocacy marketing.

If you're business is doing social media or content marketing, you better have an answer for some of these. If you're on Facebook because everyone is on Facebook, then you're doing it wrong.

I wonder if this pattern changes depending on the size of the company. For example, could a small boutique or local non-profit get deeper engagement/better deliverables that a huge multinational company like Coke?

Facebook has mostly been useful to us in terms of driving event attendance and website traffic, the latter of which is good for encouraging our bloggers to post. Likewise, I think the "Remember, this event you're supposed to go to is today" function on the newsfeed page is useful as an attendance reminder which doesn't come explicitly from us.

We've never really attempted fundraising on FB -- as you explained, I've never really seen that working for anyone except maybe presidential campaigns -- and don't do much in the way of asking people to join/start chapters. If anything, it's more of a way to keep us in the minds of our current, active members, with the hope that if they've been busy interacting with us on FB all day, they'll be more likely to open up that activism email we send in the afternoon.

An interesting debate on the fall of Kodak (and here's a hint, it wasn't because they were slow to move into digital).
