Today is a day many remember those who sacrificed their lives in war, as well as those who survived, yet still pay a price.  I do not dispresect the sincerity of their intentions, nor unervalue their contribution.  But I look forward to a time promised by God of no more war. I earnestly try to live my life in anticipation of that time.

(My grandfather participated in the D-Day invasion, and fought German Lutherans, even though he himself was a Lutheran of direct German ancestry.  He felt strongly afterward that what he had done may have benefited man, yet still offended God. He suffered from what we today call PTSD, and coupled with his guilt, sought solace in the pages of the Bible.)

Uhhhhh... I'm just going to leave this right here...
I should have known better. I should have known that the fight would suck. I have lived long enough to know that the whole point of spending $100 on a pay-per-view boxing match is so you can complain about spending $100 on a pay-per-view boxing match. There were people back in the day who used to bitch about Mike Tyson knocking out people too quickly, which seems like a groundless complaint now after watching Mayweather bore the world to death. In my humble assessment, neither gave it their all. I will give pacman some credit for at least trying to make it look like a boxing match but he was obviously still gun shy from his defeat against Marquez and was likely afraid of being knocked out again. But Mayweather wasn't even trying.

Wow, +Ethan Lepouttre should stop hogging the conversation. ;-)

Seriously though, it was nice to meet him at the van at Morgan's Pier in Philly last night. I am now desperate to get my own device updated so I can surpass my wife in this game!

Lego’s Millennium Falcons are some of the toymaker’s largest and most impressive sets, but to keep the price tags reasonable there are some comprises made when it comes to size, scale, and detailing. As the Lego fans at Titans Creations discovered, to build a Millennium Falcon that’s actually perfectly sized for minifigs you’ll need some 10,000 bricks at your disposal.

Story
Tagline
There's no such thing as "a brief description of me". Sorry.
Introduction
NOTICE: If you add me, and then don't have anything shared with me, I'm not going to add you back.

What do you call a man who still sees himself as a child? Who has so many interests he can't pick a few -- or even one -- to enjoy? Who feels left out if he doesn't know something's happening? Who gets depressed without good music? Who see logic in art, and beauty in science? Who hates what is bad, but not the people who practice it? Who knows how to judge, and when not to? Who is trapped, isolated from creative expression and all its benefits, by the same society which claims to cherish it?  Who was blessed when his father left him, and yet cursed by his absence? Who always goes a little too far and ruins the joke?

Well, that would be me.
Bragging rights
Well, I'm still here, aren't I??? Seriously, though... I have a singular wit.

I ordered the chicken parmesan lunch special. The chicken was dried out, slightly burnt and flavorless. The roll was ... chewy. It was served with potato chips AND pickle chips! Gross!!! The salad was the only thing they could not screw up. The interior is dimly lit, but obviously decorated like a Renaissance style salon. It is exquisite, which gave me false hope for this sandwich. The person at the counter was a tall, built gentleman, casually dressed, and consistently polite, but personable only with guests hew already knew.

Sometimes the service isn't wonderful, but the food always is. Great ingredients, always hot and fresh. Boo hoo for people who can't just deal with tired waitstaff. More food for me!!!

The staff is friendly and helpful, but not overly proactive. It's hard to tell if there's any sort of manager on duty. No one partied here for New Year's Eve, so I didn't lose any sleep. Convenient location, close to anything you might need. Half the price of a bigger brand name, with the same quality.
