I ordered my ipv3 the first week it came out and it had a spring loaded pin. How did you get one where it had to be screwed in? Anyways I love my ipv3, it's the only device I use now, my only gripe is the screws on the door and not magnetic. And my I only have to charge my batteries every 2 of 3 days so unscrewing the door once every 3 days is not all that bad. I am going to buy some magnets off amazon and use that soon anyways.

+ReviewTechUSA You, unfortuantely, have fallen victim to fearmongering designed to sway the minds of people who do not use and do not understand how these devices actually work. So I'm going to hit you with some science. Please pay attention, because I don't want to belittle anybody, I merely wish to educate.

The Gizmodo article references Dr. Alan Shihadeh's yet-to-be-published study which alleges to show that the level of formaldehyde production by e-cigarettes approaches levels found by the combustion of tobacco in regular cigarettes. Quoting Gizmodo, "One of the studies, performed at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, found that levels of carcinogens increased markedly when the battery output of the tank-style e-cigs was boosted from 3.2 volts to 4.8 volts."

Without diving into a bunch of math, I'd like to explain that all else being equal, when you increase the voltage supplied to the e-cigarette atomizer, you increase the amount of heat generated by the electrical coil whose job it is to turn the liquid into an aerosol. If you turn the voltage up TOO high, you are no longer vaporizing the liquid. You are BURNING it. These byproducts of combustion are what is creating the advanced level of formaldehyde and likely other compounds you really don't want to put into your lungs.

Here's the thing. In practice, NOBODY vapes this way. When you burn your juice, you know it. It tastes absolutely horrible, and it burns your throat and lungs. It is an incredibly unpleasant situation that vapers actively and deliberately work to avoid at all times.

Still not convinced? Let's get into the math. The article does not mention any other important details about the device used except that it is a tank-style e-cig run at both 3.2V and 4.8V. This leaves out a very important piece of information: the electrical resistance of the atomizer coil. Now, from experience, I can tell you that the coils of the myriad of tank atomizers are available with resistance in the range of 1.5 to 3.0 ohms, with around 2 ohms being the most common since it works very well on a wide range of batteries. If we know the voltage supplied and the resistance of the coil, we can determine the amount of heat, in watts, currently being output by the coil via the formula: POWER = VOLTS x VOLTS / RESISTANCE. I can also tell you from experience that the maximum power that the vast majority of these tank atomizers can handle before burning your juice is 8 watts. EIGHT WATTS. Remember that.

So here we go. At 3.2V and 2 ohms, you get (3.2) x (3.2) / (2) = 5.1 watts. That's actually lower than what works well, and at this point you'll barely even be vaporizing the liquid.

At 3.7V, the nominal voltage of most non-regulated "pen" style ecigarette batteries, you get (3.7) x (3.7) / (2) = 6.8 watts. That's a nice vape.

If you crank that sucker up to 4.8V as they did in the experiment, you get (4.8) x (4.8) / (2) = 11.5 WATTS! In this case they are OVERLOADING the atomizer by 30% and BURNING the juice! Even if the coil was 3 ohms instead of 2, you wind up with 7.7 watts which is approaching the upper limit of what people can comfortably vape before burning occurs

Being surprised that vaping at 11.5 watts causes bad things to happen is akin to being surprised that it's possible to get killed in your automobile if you veer off the highway at 120 miles an hour. What the study purports to be "dangerous" is actually an unrealistic and deliberately excessive scenario.

Here is a brief preliminary analysis of the study by someone who has actually had the opportunity to review it in its entirety, Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos, who as of March 14 of this year has published seven studies on e-cigarette use and has another 3 awaiting publication. Here's the link: http://www.ecigarette-research.com/web/index.php/2013-04-07-09-50-07/2014/162-nyt-formald

As for my credentials, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and I am well versed in the basic electrical theory which is employed by e-cigarettes. I have been vaping for the past 16 months and previous to that I had been a smoker for 8 years.

Nearly one year ago to the day, my own father at only 60 years of age was diagnosed with lung cancer after over 40 years of smoking. He left us 4 short months later. I have seen with my own eyes what a slow, horrible death that is, and I would not wish it upon any human being.

While vaping has not yet been shown to be harmless, I continue to strongly believe that the potential risks are far outweighed by the immense benefits for those who have previously been unsuccessful in quitting smoking. I strongly believe that the onslaught of negative press for ecigarettes in recent months is motivated not by public health concerns but by politics and the pocketbooks of major players in the tobacco and pharmaceutical industries. I have increasingly been working to debunk the fear mongering and uncertainty being spread around to the general public, however I would welcome credible evidence that would definitively show that e-cigarettes are harmful products. So far, I haven't seen it.

Thank you for your time.

Haha Nice one, I love this guy!! Telling that church what is up. New subscriber here and new on the vapor scene l. Been vaping for a couple weeks now and I love it. No more cigarettes for me. Been watching a lot of your videos and it's very informational and entertaining. Keep up the great work!

Look at what I have picked up today, a Note 3! Really enjoying this device so far.
Coming from the Galaxy S4 it's not a huge change but I'm really digging it. Didn't need to get it but not going to pass it up when they tell me I am eligible for an upgrade.
Haven't rooted her yet but not really feeling the need to just yet. AOSP android is my favorite but with all these features with the S-Pen, I am probably going to stay with touch wiz for a bit. Any one else rocking a note 3? And have any ROM recommendations?
