The shrimp diavalo and salmon salad we ordered were both delicious. The prices are reasonable and the wait staff was friendly. The restaurant has good ambiance as well.

Have only gotten the 'Marco's Meal for Two.' Limited selections, but the value for everything is a steal for what you actually pay. Highly recommend it. The food has a very authentic taste, too.

Maggiano's captures the Italian Chicago experience like no other. From the food to the architecture, I felt right at home. (Did I mention I'm a Chicago Italian?) This is a fantastic date spot if you're looking to impress. It's also good for family gatherings or just casual outings.

Hostesses were both borderline rude and definitely unfriendly to say the least. They just looked at us like we were stupid and couldn't have been less welcoming. Their initial bad attitude made me made me really uncomfortable within moments of walking in the door. Our waiter was OK, but kept rushing us for no reason. It was early; 4:30. There were only a couple other tables taken in the whole restaurant. He must have asked us if we were ready to order three times in the first 7 minutes we were there. It was stressful. We had the whole evening to celebrate our anniversary kid-free and were rushed. The side caesar salad was good; dressing tasted home made. The entrees were OK, nothing special (I got the Rigatoni D.) Lastly, when I opened my leftovers to re-heat, I found two little black squiggly pieces of plastic mixed in with my pasta. I'm assuming I'd find more if I continued to look through the rest of the leftovers. ? I can't say for sure yet. Overall, I'm disappointed and won't be going back any time soon. I think I'm most upset about the hostesses though. Isn't their main job welcoming guests????

Visited from New York for one week.My family had a dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy. The verdict is Overpriced, Average Quality food. I compare it to the authentic Italian restaurant also located on N. Clark Street, we had dinner a couple of days before, which has better food, service, wine and desert and we paid $100 less for dinner of 4.

The food was of the good quality I've come to expect from Maggiano's, but I will never return to this location. Had a party of 8, and have never felt more ignored by a waitstaff. Arrived early for our reservation and stood at the empty bar, wallet out, ignored by three bartenders for nearly ten minutes. Left to be seated with no drinks. Dinner then took in excess of three hours, including multiple periods of over half an hour during which our table had no beverages and our waiter was nowhere to be seen. Simple requests for coffee or water were ignored or took multiple reminders to complete. Waiter was rude and complained about the other staff. Never an apology for how long things took. Every other Maggiano's I have been to has had exemplary service, so this was especially disappointing. It felt like our waiter knew the gratuity was included on our party check and used it as an opportunity to provide poor service. 2 stars because the food was still good quality, but the service was exceptionally poor.
