Maggiano's captures the Italian Chicago experience like no other. From the food to the architecture, I felt right at home. (Did I mention I'm a Chicago Italian?) This is a fantastic date spot if you're looking to impress. It's also good for family gatherings or just casual outings. Expensive but delicious!

they food was very good.I love the sausages. With every bit you taste the food itself and not just a whole bunch of herbs. The prices was reasonable. They have a nice romantic setting or nice family setting. This place is really just a better olive garden. I was also happy that valet parking was very cheap only 4.00 dallors. Thats better than downtown Chicago prices. Me and my bestfriend had a wonderful time and the waiter was very nice and patience with my picky butt. I was also amazed at how packed they were but if you have a reservation they do stick to the time for you so make you have reservations so you don't have to wait.

The food was of the good quality I've come to expect from Maggiano's, but I will never return to this location. Had a party of 8, and have never felt more ignored by a waitstaff. Arrived early for our reservation and stood at the empty bar, wallet out, ignored by three bartenders for nearly ten minutes. Left to be seated with no drinks. Dinner then took in excess of three hours, including multiple periods of over half an hour during which our table had no beverages and our waiter was nowhere to be seen. Simple requests for coffee or water were ignored or took multiple reminders to complete. Waiter was rude and complained about the other staff. Never an apology for how long things took. Every other Maggiano's I have been to has had exemplary service, so this was especially disappointing. It felt like our waiter knew the gratuity was included on our party check and used it as an opportunity to provide poor service. 2 stars because the food was still good quality, but the service was exceptionally poor.

party for 8 people. At Front we had to wait about 30 min. its ok, at most downtown restaurants you have to wait. restaurant was full 75%. I ordered Chicken with potatoes. I waited next 30 min. let say its standard waiting time. I get 5 small pieces of potatoes, my buddys get full dishes of potatoes after our complaints. Waitress forget about my complaint and never show up with my dish. In my opinnion Maggianos at Old Orchard or Streets of Woodfield doing much much better and proffesional than downtown location. after 40 min after my complaint waitress show up and asked about Dessert. when she brings recipe, unfortunately she put this on dirty dish full of oil. I dont know what happened with kitchen and waitresses. always all staff at Old Orchard and WoodField are very professional, at downtown they behave like rookies. Aha, piano at enterance is dirty, covered by dust....

I have a very large family so investing the time and energy and money into eating out is a usually a well thought out process. Indulging like this, because this truly was an indulgence, is really rare. We were prepared with coupons from LettuceEntertainYou and hoped we might find something extra in the scratch off, but to no avail. The valet parking and parkers were very friendly. Parking is $12. to eat in the restaurant up to three hours or $20. to leave the restaurant and walk downtown for up to four hours, which we did after eating. The place smells delicious. It is elegant looking with a chandelier and grand piano in the entrance walkway. Red velvet curtains almost makes it feel like a theater. We were seated and quickly waited on by a witty and thoughtful host. The prices made my children nervous (mainly the teenagers) knowing that we spend less on groceries any given week. It was not easy convincing them that they could order what they wanted on the menu. We all ended up ordering an appetizer to share, a cup of soup and a side salad, which were delicious! I had the tomato basil bisque with croutons. The dishes were very pretty and I like good serving ware. The atmosphere was warm and we were able to share some good conversation. We commented on (the taste), the care and freshness put into the preparation of our meal. The check was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the experience and time with our family was priceless. Although we probably won't be going back any time soon, except for perhaps a special annual occasion, Maggiano's Little Italy is an experience none of us will soon forget.
