Danielle Krol, MD SGU '12, has recently incorporated medical journalism into her career in medicine by working on the Medical Unit at ABC News headquarters in New York City. During this experience, Dr. Krol has worked closely with ABC's chief medical correspondent, Dr. Richard Besser, the former director of the CDC. Dr. Krol was a key component of the medical team, researching and writing medical news for ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, Good Morning America and ABC.com Health. An IM resident in Philadelphia, her future plans include an oncology fellowship and medical media correspondence.

Introduction

Founded as an independent School of Medicine in 1976, St. George’s University has evolved into a top center of international education, drawing students and faculty from 140 countries to the island of Grenada, in the West Indies.
