Students in Professor Anne McKenna's Civil Procedure class visited the Centre County Courthouse yesterday to sit in on an actual civil matter in the oldest continuously operating courtroom in Pennsylvania. The first-year and LL.M. students watched civil procedure and the rules of evidence in action during direct examination and cross examination of a party who took the witness stand. The students were able to see exactly how challenging litigation can be for the parties involved, and what lawyers really must face in the courtroom.
