Support in Congress for a namechange for the Washington Redskins - but seemingly not much support for the idea of forcing the franchise by threatening the NFL's tax exempt status. 

Polling shows that most people find the name "Redskins" offensive, but don't really care if the name is changed. What do you think? My latest:

The world would be so much better of a place if we were all still kind as we were as children. 

I've read a ton of emotion-laden marathon bombing pieces, but the innocent, youthful simplicity of this one brought a tear to my eye.

A former Navy SEAL, fitness nut and...longshot US Senate candidate, Republican Gabriel Gomez has been running multiple 5K races each weekend of the campaign as an unorthodox way of reaching out to veterans and independents in liberal-heavy Massachusetts.

Two weeks later: ACLU urges independent probe of Orlando FBI shooting of Ibragim Todashev.

Meanwhile, file Gov Rick Scott (R), Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer (D) and Congressman Daniel Webster (R) under "profiles in courage." None would comment or release statements on one of their constituents being shot and killed by the FBI.

The FBI shooting of Ibragim Todashev is a case study for why media should never use unnamed "law enforcement officials." We've had reports that he had a gun, had a knife, had a blade, had a sword, reached for a sword, knocked out an FBI agent and....now...that he was unarmed.
