If you have outdoor plans today, it will be chilly, but dry. The winter weather will not start until late tonight.

The Williamson County area could up to seven inches, of snow Sunday night into Monday. However, the biggest update is that it will probably be mostly sleet from generally Maury County (Columbia) southward.

Planners to decide on new luxury home development

Brentwood Planning Commissioners will decide Monday night whether to approve a new luxury home development on Johnson Chapel Road between Granny White Pike and Murray Lane.

Brentwood-based Grove Park Construction hopes to build four lots on seven-acres for its "Johnson Cove" development.

The homes will be located on a cul-de-sac with one access road, with individual lots ranging from 1.1 acres to 1.3 acres.

Company president Brandon Jenkins told Brentwood Home Page in July he expects the homes to sell between $1.4 million and $2.5 million, which will vary between 5,000 and 8,000 square feet.

Site plans show Grove Park will restore the original stacked stone wall for the development's gated entrance, and also improve the existing pond on the land, which Jenkins said will be the center of the cul-de-sac.

The seven-acres, which was purchased for $575,000, is already zoned R-2 and does not need the City Commission's approval.

The area is zoned for Scales Elementary, Brentwood Middle and Brentwood High schools.

Grove Park has approximately 20 homes in Brentwood, and over 24 in all of Williamson County. The developers are also responsible for residences in Governors Club, Hampton Reserve and Windstone.

Agent Aaron Holliday said his firm hopes to start building by the end of the year.

The Planning Commission meets 7 p.m Monday at the Municipal Center at 5211 Maryland Way.

Planning Commissioners will also decide on the following items on the regular agenda:

An ordinance amending the municipal code regarding open space areas within open space residential developments.
A revised site plan for the Holiday Inn at 173 Carothers Parkway, which include the addition of two new parking spaces, a new building sign and new landscaping.
A request from Swings & Billiards on Moores Lane to setup four additional swing sets in the front and side yard of the business. The Planning Commission approved three swing sets in the rear of the building in 2013.
A use consideration for an indoor storage facility on 1734 Carothers Parkway.
The following are on the consent agenda, and are generally passed in one motion:

A revised site plan for the Lexus of Cool Springs at 1626 Westgate Circle. Developers request to construct an access drive on the northwest corner of the parking lot to serve both Lexus and Acura.
An extension to a previously approved site plan for Virginia Springs property lot 3. The proposal matches the previously approved plan.
A temporary special event permit for "Homes for the Holidays" to benefit the Literary Council of Williamson County. The event is a public tour of four homes featuring holiday decorations by area designers on Dec. 5-7. Check back with Brentwood Home Page for more on this event.
A final plat for the Owen Lynn subdivision at 416 Wilson Pike. The plan features two lots on 2.34-acres.
A revised site plan for Publix Supermarket on Moores Lane as they hope to add a new mechanical house and masonry screen wall, among other structural improvements.
