Introduction
Luke Timmerman is an award-winning journalist specializing in life sciences. He has covered biotechnology for Xconomy, Bloomberg News and The Seattle Times. Luke has received a number of awards for his biotech reporting, including the Scripps Howard National Journalism Award, the Sigma Delta Chi Prize, and several ‘Best in Business’ honors from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. He is a two-time finalist for the Gerald Loeb Award. Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in jonalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and during the 2005-2006 academic year, he was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT. In his spare time, Luke enjoys running, bicycling, mountaineering, and fantasy baseball. A native of Wisconsin, he's a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.
Bragging rights
My favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers. They won the Super Bowl in 2011. This makes me happy.
