Anyone interested in Human history, politics, policy & economics must read this book. There are certainly places where one can disagree with the author. Author himself presents many scenarios to choose from in many cases, sometimes favouring one over others, sometimes not. But if one fundamentally disagrees with the book then I would say one is not very well versed in policy/economics, and evidence based science and needs re-orientation.

WTF is wrong with Google+ team? The comments section is simply unusable with this new interface. Do they even bother testing this with real users any more?

Finished reading Mahabharata versions by Rajaji & Krishna Dharma. Some differences and contradictions between them but mostly same. Not writing a proper review. I'll just say ASOIAF is better. Of course Mahabharata being old with probably multiple authors is a mitigating factor. Old also means it's misogynist and casteist. If you think gods are real then more issues crop up but for atheist me that's not an issue.* Lord Krishna still remains my favourite. His realism is much better for international affairs. #DharmaSaṁsthāpanārthāya

PS: One quibble with Krishna Dharma version is he consistently translates 'dharma' as 'religion'.Incorrect and at certain contexts so confusing that even a non Indic reader could see that 'religion' is wrong word there.

*Like, why can't you just burn him instead of this elaborate scheme involving half a dozen devas, a sage and probably a dog too?

The kind of doctors in govt hospitals! Last month Loksatta Tamil Nadu president complained about corruption and absence of doctors in Tiruppur govt hospital to district authorities. The hospital staff went on a strike until police detained him. Cheats & crooks filling up medical profession.

"They didn’t have the luxury of hours for unpaid activism ... There were negative responses to the fifty demands (which included a request for an $8.20-an-hour activism wage"

No, this is not onion. Of all the nonsense campus far left has produced, this is the funniest. May be they need to shut down 'arts' colleges.

"That [the censoring of journalists didn't become big news] is the result of a strategy and a cosy understanding the party and its leaders have with the capital’s big media. AAP...is now part of the system it wanted to overthrow. Corruption, an institutional desire to profit at the cost of the citizen, the entitlement of its workers, and an intolerance of dissent—AAP has it all."
