OKAY, now let us look at the poverty rate data as provided by city-data.com for Baltimore, Maryland.  More than a 1/4 of the population is living below the poverty level; more than 1/2 are living more than 50 percent below the poverty.  The majority of these citizens are black.  How many really good paying manufacturing jobs equivalent to the steel  industry has Anthony Brown created in the past five years?  Specifically what vigorous and aggressive actions has he taken to attract vital substantive industrial or other major entrepreneurial business which will change these numbers way, way, way around - because these numbers are totally unacceptable!  So far, I see O'Malley and Mr. Brown have increased taxes more than 40 times -
which hasn't really been a real magnet for bringing industry or jobs back to Baltimore.  And they claim a whole lot of hocus pocus dream-like nonsense.  But how many really good jobs are there?

I will let you figure that out for yourself.

Even the Baltimore Sun shows that the poverty level in Baltimore City has shot way up over the past five years, so how on earth  can Anthony BROWN look you in the eye and tell you with a straight face that DOUG GANSLER is lying when he says that the economic situation in Baltimore is DIRE.
Just before the government shut down, the Census Bureau released updated income and poverty data that highlight the impact of the Great Recession and nascent recovery. Not surprisingly, poverty has...

CHICKEN BONES - A BRIEF HISTORY OF MODERN BALTIMORE
THE RISE AND FALL OF STEEL AND MANUFACTURING
THE REPLACEMENT OF MANUFACTURING WITH LOW PAYING SERVICE JOBS
THE MASS EXODUS OF BALTIMORE'S POPULATION

Here is a more accurate history of the economic situation in Baltimore.  In many ways, Detroit and Pittsburgh are similar.

Just what has ANTHONY BROWN done over the past 8 years to ensure that good paying manufacturing jobs are brought back to Baltimore?  What proportion of his "improved employment statistics" represent even decent paying manufacturing jobs with decent benefits?

If the economic situation in Baltimore is so rosy, why has everyone been  fleeing?

I think we all know the answer to these questions.  What is more in order for the children of Baltimore to be successful in the world of tomorrow they will truly have to excel.  Many of them will have to be change leaders who see opportunities, innovate, lead, and make life in Baltimore a win-win situation for all.  To do that, they need the BEST POSSIBLE EDUCATION - not just passing.  THEY NEED THE BEST POSSIBLE CHAMPION.

They need a champion who isn't  willing to say any thing to  get elected, isn't telling them the jobless rate is lower than it has ever been - when they know dang well that it is an out-and-out lie.

I am reminded of Harriet Beecher Stowe but I will refrain from going that far --

Another way to evaluate the economic condition and jobless situation is to look at the overall number of people living below he poverty line.

Tony met me immediately when I arrived. He very quickly showed me the different options. He helped me decide what was appropriate for me and to make an instant decision. Even with respect to color. He was extremely professional. I would recommend Tony Goicochea very very highly. He listens to the customer very carefully. He assists based on what the customer says. He is attentive to detail. He introduces you to everyone else you need to speak with to complete the transaction and makes sure that everything is taken care of properly. He introduces to to the Sales Manager and to the Service Manager and sets up your first service appointment. He follows up after you purchase the vehicle to make certain everything is okay, not once but several times. He is not pushy. He is respectful. He is courteous. He is kind. He knows what he has to sell. He explains the car very clearly. In short, he is just about the most professional, most helpful, least obnoxious, car salesman I have ever dealt with. He is to be given very, very high marks for his performance in helping me - I was in and out of the dealership in less than two hours. With the new car. Probably an hour and a half. And that includes the time we spent doing the road test - which was probably a little longer than usual because I decided I really wanted to drive the car a little bit before I bought it. Fiat ought to consider training this guy exensively and consider him as a serious candidate for management. He has integrity. He is responsive to the customer. He loves the car he is selling. And he is bright, "there", or rather "here" in the "here" and "now" -- thinks very clearly, quicky, and is first-rate. Promote him.

Dr. Norkiewicz is an exceptionally gifted dentist. Dr. Spivak on the other hand told me that three teeth needed extensive work and we presubmitted; insurance claims were lost, we presubmitted again. Insurance agreed to pay. I asked for another dentist at Cloppers Mill to do the work (who regrettably is no longer there). He took one look at me and said "there is no decay - it is only a little cement under the cap". Rating wold be GREAT for Dr. N. but because of Dr. S., I am going elsewhere.
