We joined forces with +Vans to introduce our Atelier Ace x Vans Era 59, in celebration of  #goskateboardingday. We also created Noise Grind with these guys, an online skateboard game testing your skate skills by identifying tricks by ear.
Time to sharpen your ears.

The word is out: Sebastian and his Belle are heading to Ace Hotel this fall. Sounds like Glasgow magic all over the Theatre.

Ace Hotel Downtown LA opens in January 2014 in the historic United Artists building.
Description
Ace Hotel Downtown LA opens in January 2014 in the historic United Artists building. The downtown LA landmark was built in 1927 to provide offices and a theater for the maverick film studio. The theater and tower stand as monuments to a group of seminal American artists pushing out on their own — driven by the need for creative control. United Artists co-founder Mary Pickford's love for the ornate detail and stone spires of Spanish castles and cathedrals is manifest at the theater — a true temple of the arts. The mixture of reverent awe and irreverent independence in its origins is right up our alley — this is the kind of project we dream of.

I went to the roof top bar at the ace hotel. Great view as it overlooks the city and there is a pool there too. I know, right? It's upscale and nice for dancing or just lounging around.

Came here to watch an episode of Game of Thrones for an HBO For Your Consideration event. Theater is beautiful and a perfect fit for the show. Seats were comfy, sound quality was excellent. It has a creepy vintage theater ambiance, but in the coolest way possible. Would definitely come back again just to enjoy this unusual theater.

Great hotel in central location in a nice Art Deco building. Rooms are well appointed, clean, and spacious enough. A tip - don't pay the $36 valet parking; you can park in the same lot for $8 yourself :). Plus, the blankets are so nice on the bed I almost bought some for myself (the only thing that stopped me is that they're dry-clean only).

It is by FAR the most unique hotel we have ever been too. We love the raw, clean look in the rooms and enjoy the little touches of character. Such as the record player and the guitar in the room...or the blank music sheets for your own music creativity! We love it!

We went to a showing of Singin' in the Rain at the theatre. The theater is restored and it's very impressive. The staff for the event were all polite and professional. Our bartender shared an interesting historical fact as she made our drinks. The general area is full of other historic buildings and was great to just walk around. There was a good deal off bars and restaurants nearby. I'll definitely be coming back for the Last Remaining Seats event next season.

After having dinner at the Nest we wanted something a bit more lively and exciting so we drove a pretty mile to the Ace Hotel. Parking is easy on the streets, and entrance is in the back of the hotel. You enter this hipster like cave with a bear sitting on top of beer...Get it !? It gets a bit too hot after a few bumping and grinding, but the music was good but you def will see the guest of the hotel prancing in with no shoes on and wet bodies smashing into your already stickiness ! When that happens, hurry and prance your booty outside and get situated on one of their lovely lawn chairs facing the pools. It does feel quite relaxing just to people watch !

I attended a friend's wedding dinner there, we sat upstairs in a secluded area which was nice. The service was great and food was excellent. They don't have a great beer variety, but the few options they had were ok.

We've gone to the theatre at the Ace Hotel for multiple events and they've all been great. Both the theatre and the surrounding area are older and a little run down, but the theatre has some impressive Gothic architecture inside. There's parking for $5 right around the corner, but if you go with the garage be aware there may be a rush on the single ticket paystation there after an event.
