We joined forces with +Vans to introduce our Atelier Ace x Vans Era 59, in celebration of  #goskateboardingday. We also created Noise Grind with these guys, an online skateboard game testing your skate skills by identifying tricks by ear.
Time to sharpen your ears.

The word is out: Sebastian and his Belle are heading to Ace Hotel this fall. Sounds like Glasgow magic all over the Theatre.

Ace Hotel Downtown LA opens in January 2014 in the historic United Artists building.
Description
Ace Hotel Downtown LA opens in January 2014 in the historic United Artists building. The downtown LA landmark was built in 1927 to provide offices and a theater for the maverick film studio. The theater and tower stand as monuments to a group of seminal American artists pushing out on their own — driven by the need for creative control. United Artists co-founder Mary Pickford's love for the ornate detail and stone spires of Spanish castles and cathedrals is manifest at the theater — a true temple of the arts. The mixture of reverent awe and irreverent independence in its origins is right up our alley — this is the kind of project we dream of.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Impeccably clean everywhere! I was amazed that this hotel was not brand new. I was upgraded to the Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles and loved it. The fireplace adds a homely feel. The bathroom was a highlight as it was huge, the floors were clean enough to eat off of and the shower was so amazing I didn't want to get out! The service is top notch. Three examples, I was walked to the elevator by James the receptionist who explained where the pool and spa were, to make a right out of the elevator.. what to dial to reach him. I was running out to grab some food at night when the doorman gave me an umbrella letting me know its raining, and third was the event staff. I was there for a work event, and there were meals served and the waitstaff were so observant that when getting the eggs I mentioned hot sauce to a coworker, and one of the staff brought over a little Tabasco bottle to my seat. Oh and their coffee is amazing!

Great view and architecture. The drinks are just all right and about the price you expect, but it is definitely worth a visit

the hangout of Los Angeles, cool staff, amazing building, perfect location in the resurgent downtown, fab coffee (they do flat whites, if you ask), constantly buzzing with people. rooftop bar and pool deck has amazing views and atmosphere - but it can be hard to get a table and a little cool by sunset. a bit hipster, but to be expected.

Living in Hollywood like I do downtown Los Angeles aka DTLA is actually a little bit of a journey. Once I'm down there I usually get to one or two places, the first time I was down there was for an event on the second level and I got to see how movie-esque the lobby was. This place really feels like you're in a very well designed/historic space that shows you how much character Broadway has. It really gives you a sense of hope for the future here when you walk by places such as this, when you enter you notice to your left an almost boutique looking check-in room, and a Parisian looking cafe to the right, there's an almost out of this world feel to the cafe as even the closest details are taken care of. The United Artists theater is also very nice, upon entering you feel like you've taken a trip to the past to something out of the early days of LA, the AC is great and the entryway with it's grand details will overwhelm. This is one of the top places and must visit places if you're downtown, quite the sight.

Came here to watch the original Tron movie hosted by cinespia. They had a dj inside and free classic game arcades in the lobby!!! The theatre is GORGEOUS. I love LA buildings where they look plain from the outside but you feel like you stepped into a different world inside. Everywhere you walk, the interior is covered in spanish gothic-style. The theatre is spacious and clean. Afterwards, make sure to check out the rooftop bar (enter through the restaurant next door).

Went to a private event here the other day, and had been to the adjoining theater in the past. The staff is friendly, the location's very ooh-la-dtla, but it's the building itself that makes this place grand. Beautiful architecture treated with the respect it deserves.

Killer views and amazing vibe in this open air lounge right smack in the middle of DTLA. In the mood for some appetizers? They got that too, with some quick to go foods or a sandwich if your'e in the mood. With a no-wait old fashioned right out of the well, you know this place is a cool hang out.

didn't actually stay here but the interior of the lobby and second floor bar is really nice. Has a retro but cabin like feel. It's a good place to go to hang out for a bit right in the center of DTLA. Didn't make it to the rooftop though cause the wait was too long. Good luck finding a seat inside on a Friday night.
