This place is a true gem - we ate there last night and felt very lucky to have found it! The hardest part was deciding what to eat! The lovely woman behind the counter kept offering us samples of all the dishes and I wanted to eat them all! The tempeh was my favorite - spicy and little sweet and quite filling. I also liked the jerk tofu quite a lot and the kale was cooked just right. I can't wait to visit Hartford again so I can eat here again. You should go!

I can't say enough about how great this place is. The environment is casual but clean with great reggae music playing and a friendly owner who is willing to chat about Jamaican cuisine. The food comes in manageable portions in two sizes, you choose three or five options. Fantastic vegan options!

I was so pleased to find this vegan restaurant on this side street in Hartford. They have a great selection and the staff was very friendly. I was a little disappointed that some of the menu items were not available but the food I ordered was super delicious. I was sorry that I did not order more!

I did not enjoy the food there. My co workers and I ordered the jerk tofu with wilted kale, cabbage and pumpkin rice. The jerk had a weird taste it was sweet like cinnamon and not spicy as I was expecting. The kale had too much garlic and tasted sweet as well and the pumpkin rice was very bland with no flavor.

Great place! Get a sampling of everything it's all delicious. I'll make a clarification on the atmoshere. It's great if like a down-home, casual, jamaican vibe. If you are looking for high end dining then you will be disappointed. If you skip it because of that, you'll be missing out because this is a great place to eat with great food and great people

Perfect atmosphere. Highlights are the red lentil stew (a medley of flavors), avocado and hummus sandwich with beet and carrot salad, barbecued tofu, curry. Yum, yum, yum... The chef/owner, Christopher, also makes amazing protein shakes. Sometimes they have beet cake and pure cocoa cupcakes that light, fluffy, scrumptious. The restaurant has a buffet of food ready to serve with many selections. If you order, it takes quite a bit longer, bu the food is made with love.
