This is a first timer: the book cover of the recent poetry book 'verdere bijzonderheden' (Amsterdam: Uitgeverij Querido, 2017; design: Michaël Snitker) by Rozalie Hirs receives a mention in Volkskrant today, in a short collective review by Erik van den Berg on the nature of old and recent book covers: "Zoete kleuren rukken op in de boekwinkel, ook bij onzoete stof". A link to the full text and is included [Dutch only].

Today, on 31 May 2018, Frits van der Waa writes a short, yet raving, review on Wiek Hijmans’ new CD 'Electric Language' in the Dutch national newspaper Volkskrant. He praises Hijmans’ meticulous mastery of tone colour and timbre. Van der Waa also mentions the “intriguing” microtonal melodies in 'article 6 [waves]' by Rozalie Hirs.

A fine review about Wiek Hijmans' new CD Electric Language on the Dutch webzine Opus Klassiek. Siebe Riedstra remarks, among other things:

Listening to a CD like this one is like a musical journey of discovery, that may produce memorable moments. Such a moment is 'article 6 [waves]' by Rozalie Hirs (1965), who transverses life both as a poet and as a composer. On Ladder 11 with Fie Schouten, performing on the bass clarinet, something similar happened – 'article 7' kept on chasing down the ear. This is music with a remarkable tendency towards comtemplation that for a change does not lull one into sleep.

Dit spiksplinternieuwe, grondige essay over 'Logos' (2012) door Jeroen Dera in 'Bundels van het nieuwe millennium' (Van tilt|Poëziecentrum, 2018) voelt als een langverwachte landing in de wereld.

New in-depth essay by Jeroen Dera 'Freedom of ink' about my second poetry book 'Logos' (2002) discusses its multimedial and conceptual implications for poet and reader [Dutch only; translation to follow].

Verder nog veel andere mooie essays over recente nederlandstalige bundels door een nieuwe generatie lezers (Jeroen Dera & Carl de Strycker, redactie).
