The most ghetto restaurant near USC without a doubt. I came in with my girlfriend. The 2 black workers could not stop drooling over her. Saying wassup and what can I do for you girl. My girlfriend ordered our food as 1 of these fools with a fake diamond watch still kept eyeing my girlfriends upper body. We both ordered small chicken burritos and were charged without a receipt for 2 large burritos. When I asked for a receipt I see I got overcharged and got a refund. Trying to hustle my money by throwing it in the register. I sat down with my babe. The 2 black dudes and the black cashier just started dancing to the music playing as burrito wrappers lay all over the tables. Filthy establishment with ghetto service by people who think they are on baller status but on minimum wage. Going to Chipotle next time.

I like the additional varieties available compared to a certain other large burrito Ch-ain -- three sizes, four different tortillas, three kinds of beans, among other things. The staff here is also more friendly and shows more personality than at most food chains (that may be in part because of the proximity to USC). The loyalty card is also fairly generous. However, the meat options, while good, aren't quite as flavorful as the barbacoa at said other chain.

I ordered some veg nachos, not meat obviously and one of the workers, male light skin African-American. Has the nerve to ask me if I want veggies, are you kidding me I ask for vegetarian nachos what do you think. I also ordered a chicken taco with just onion and cilantro and a little hot sauce for my friend. I pay and tip total of 11 dollars including tip, my friend opens his taco and its just ONION AND CILANTRO NO CHICKEN! I SAID IT LIKE 3 TIMES ONLY CHICKEN ONION AND CILANTRO WITH A HOT SAUCE. It wasn't busy or anything I was the only one in line and next to the register by myself until my order was done. Once again a young worker not taking his job serious. I should have went to Chipotle instead of this garbage

I would of given it 5 stars but every time i go they take forever to attend me. The weird thing is that there is no line. i just stand there like an idiot waiting. Then someone doing something else comes to the front and assist me. Besides this they are very friendly and the food is great. One thing that i love here that chipotle doesn't have is the variety of tortillas. I think they have like 5 different kind and that's a great way to start. I like the wheat tortilla. If i remember correctly they also had way more toppings for your burrito. Another great thing is that there are so many different sizes of burritos. You can go ahead and get a really small burrito or a giant one. This place is great, but as i mentioned above i only have one complaint. The food is very delicious and once your assisted they're pretty quick.

Meh. As a UCSB student. This Freebirds just doesn't compare to the one in Isla Vista. I know I'm a bit spoiled but the review is based on MY experience. It's not bad. Just not nearly as good as the original IV Freebirds.

How does this place have any bad reviews at all? I remember when this place first opened, my friends dragged me to the Grand Opening and I was sold. Been there almost one a week since then. I mean...come on, you can get a burrito the size of a two liter bottle, that is pretty darned impressive. I love all the food here, pile on those tasty toppings. The main thing that hooked me is their service, its outSTANDING! Every worker is always super friendly, nice, outgoing. It makes me feel right at home and welcome. You dont get that kind of service just anywhere. The atmosphere is pretty awesome, that is if you like listening to Punk and Rock while chowing down on a Monster Burrito the size of a human thigh. If not, well there is always taco bell. LoL. Overall I would give this place a 6 star review if I could. I mean I have been to this place probably over 100 times now and not once have I had bad food or service. Whatever it is you guys are doing, keep it up. I for one wont be going anywhere else.
