Principal Software Engineer in Tampa, Florida

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Principal

Programmer to support our customer in managing global operations for the Intelligence Dissemination Center. This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding effort to improve US Intelligence Community dissemination efforts to coalition partners. We are looking for energetic and motivated developers seeking career enhancement to join the Software Engineering Team. 

The software engineers create next-generation technologies that shape intelligence information sharing in the community. Our projects include working on advanced information-retrieval systems, large scale systems for social information and Intelligence product sharing, and massive scalability and storage solutions. This position involves designing, developing and maintaining web based applications using the latest technology available. Team members will have the unique opportunity to be involved in all facets of the development lifecycle, including collaboration with customers and senior members to work with graphic artists and develop content driven Web pages and Applications.

This exciting opportunity requires a dynamic, proactive software developer that is driven by strong desires for organizational excellence. 

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or 8 years of experience in a related field with relevant work experience as a web developer. Note: Degree requirements may be waived in lieu of 8-10 years of experience in web development.

• 8+ years of experience with directly related computer programming and web development.
• 8+ years of experience developing Web Applications using ASP.NET, MVC and C#.
• Outstanding skills and proven expertise in server side scripting technologies.
• Understanding of solid User Interface development focused on User Experience design.
• Proven expertise in standards compliant layouts (HTML5/CSS3).
• Proven expertise working with XML, ETL and associated technologies (XSD/XPATH/XQuery).
• Experience using open source JavaScript libraries like jQuery and Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of Internet protocols and their uses in application development.
• Knowledge of Internet and Intranet security standards and strategies.

Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with ASP MVC Framework.
• Familiarity with XML/XSD/XPath.
• Familiarity with Apache Solr.
• Google Maps API, Google Earth Enterprise.
• Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
• Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation.
• Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation.
• Agile methodologies, Scrum practice.
• Familiarity with SharePoint development desired for some projects, but not required.
• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a (Top Secret/SCI) Security Clearance. 
• Must be able to achieve Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges and ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire.
• Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
• This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.

Principal SharePoint Software Engineer in Tampa, Florida

Define and develop custom SharePoint 2010 solutions and SharePoint 2013 apps.
Distribute the app's logic, data, and user interface (UI) in separate components to fit your needs.
Use the new OAuth 2.0 support in SharePoint.
Use the expanded capabilities of REST and client APIs (JavaScript and .NET) to access the rich data and services in SharePoint such as search, workflow, social networking, taxonomy, user profiles, and Business Connectivity Services (BCS).
Be familiar with Microsoft Office integration, including Project Server 2013 development.
Be familiar with third-party workflow engine tools such as K2 or Nintex.
Be familiar with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, 2011 and 2013.
Provides support for web posting and SharePoint Portal administrative functions.
Should have significant experience with web administrative functions in general and SharePoint Portal administration specifically. 
Should have an understanding of administration of multi-tier applications; intuitive GUI design elements and standards; software requirements analysis and documentation. 
Shall be able to communicate with end-users regarding software requirements analysis and systems analysis. 
Will be tasked to support posting actions utilizing intuitive Web based GUI interfaces that support interactive, mission focused content, reporting, and analysis.
Shall participate in providing input to developers for the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website enhancements. 
Shall assist Web Development Team in planning, scheduling and conducting systems tests, monitor test results, and take appropriate corrective action while providing SharePoint system administration technical support. 
Should be proficient in .Net and other associated languages that are used in Web and SharePoint development.
SharePoint MCSD preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. 

1. 8-10 years of related software development experience.
2. Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses an excellent understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment.
3. Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
4. Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks as they relate to program delivery. 
5. Adept at understanding operational nuances across business units / functional areas.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and spoken. 
7. A minimum of 5 years as a SharePoint developer creating workflows, forms and sites with Windows SharePoint Services, MOSS, MS-OFFICE tools, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL-Server.
8. 8 + years experience using any of the following technologies: .Net, ASP.Net, Visual Basic .Net, C#, MS SQL Server in implementing web based systems. 
9. Well versed with -Development technologies like .Net, XML, SOAP/HTTP Web Services, HTML, CSS and Scripting. 

1. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
