we love the food at orfino's but have stopped going there because the staff can be less than attentive. on our last visit we were kept standing at the entrance for nearly 15 minutes before we were even approached, despite there being at least two unoccupied tables. it's a nice neighborhood place but since the owners are also the wait staff there's little hope the service will improve.

just moved across the street to the space previously occupied by amalfi's. now run by son michael and his wife linda, the menu changes seasonally and the dishes are more interesting than your basic italian. salads are yummy, pastas (esp lobster ravioli) are very good and the veal chop is outstanding - best i have ever had. although not made on premises, save room for the almond joy dessert!

now open in their new location across the street in the former amalfi's. orfino's is stepping it up a bit with their seasonal menus. the salads are very tasty, the grilled veal chop cooked to perfection. the almond joy dessert, while not made in house, is divine and a great change up from the standard of chocolate mousse cake or tartufo. welcoming families, it's a solid choice in the area.
