In FB you can return register by holding the Shift key and hitting Enter. In comments you can't format, but chat you can. FB needs to get with it and make simple formatting available in posts and comments.

I am absolutely in love with the new music listening site turntable.fm I love both the fact that I get to hear a diverse set of music, and the fact that its real people sharing.

Circles
So it looks like the biggest trick to learning how to use Google+ is fully understanding Circles.

Seems like the first part of that is knowing you don't have the traditional "Friend" model from Facebook.

When you add someone to a circle you are creating a mailing list of sorts. When you share with a circle you share with only those people, people not in your circle will never see it. (there are some exceptions)

On your side, you will only see posts from people in your circles.

So If I post a message and say I want to share with the circle "family" 7 people so far would qualify to see it. But if one of those 7 people doesn't have me in their circles they wont see the post.

You can also make completely "public" posts, and that would work more like a blog, or twitter where anyone who just wants to see it can see it.

It seems what Google is attempting to offer is the ability to finally filter your experience both ways.

By the way this post is Public.

Just started using G+ but it is already useful, I made a Sanzaru circle for things people outside of work won't care about. The other thing that looks useful is the ability to filter which circles show up on your feed. Better interface than FB and faster too.

Today's tips from my learning the Google+
When you post you can type +Name to add the typical reference to someone.
so +Glen McKnight converts it.

Also after posting you can see up above next to the time the word Limited or Public.
From there you can see details of who its shared with.

Then the last thing, play with that little down arrow on the far Right to do all kinds of great things. EDIT a comment you screwed up! Or delete, prevent others from sharing, or even block comments.

If its someone elses post you can mute (stop getting emails/notifcations)

Google+ is definitely not replacing facebook yet, but they are showing facebook the features people demand.

Also if you haven't yet, check out a gallery on here, so much nicer than FB.

I never had a facebook account, so I can't really compare the two. But it seems to me like google+ is like facebook+twitter.
