When expanded, the chat log will jump to the bottom when new messages are received. Since this is an asynchronous game, going back and reading the chat logs can be pretty essential, it would be best if that weren't the case (I seem to think it didn't used to be - but maybe in mis-remembering)

You can see Native and Enemy ships that are in a Star System with the Radar. Is that intentional?

I haven't quite figured out the details, but rushing a few buildings can create some really weird results in the minerals/hr and time-to-completion (in the Queue) calculation.

For example, after rushing (starting, then paying cost-1 in $ to finish it immediately) 3-4 buildings, I had a lone colony on a star with 0/500 minerals. At even just 1% construction of a single building, the minerals/hr was several thousand negative. However, the queue showed it as being able to finish in just a few minutes if set to 100% construction. (The planet's mineral capacity was most certainly not enough for this feat).

Seems like this might be exploitable if I can regularly reproduce it...

I haven't read this whole thing, but the tl;dr is fantastic:

http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2012/04/a-different-kind-of-twitter-revolution-patents-will-not-be-used-as-weapons/256036/

"According to the terms of the agreement (which can be read in full GitHub) any patents obtained by employees of Twitter will not be used offensively to impede the work of others without direct, written permission to do so. If a future patent-holder were to attempt a suit without such permission, the inventor can go ahead and issue a license on his or her own to the entity being sued."

I'm trying to figure out how to reply to this. I'm a total G+ newbie and am
just using my phone. Looks like it was accepted, though?

I'm Agrona in Ingress.

Thx.

I just realized the number of people following me seems way out of proportion with the number of public posts I make.

Okay, so I've been using Zediva. It's decent.

Imagine NetFlix movies, but instead of paying a monthly fee, you buy "tickets" that are good for rentals (About $1 each). Also, they have everything as soon as it hits DVD (you're actually renting a DVD player and the DVD, so they kinda side-step streaming/licensing issues). Also, you can rewatch a movie for 2 weeks after the first rental for free.

Pretty low-cost to try it out; 3 movie rentals for $2. I had some weird compression issues for the first half of the movie I tried to watch, but I think it was my local wifi setup. Things seem to have gotten better.

Anyway, here you go:

Your friend will get 2 FREE movies with his or her first purchase and you will receive one FREE movie credit to your account, for each friend who makes a purchase on Zediva. Everyone wins!

Right, but just because the end result is 1080p doesn't mean the source was (aka a DVD rip). The PS3 also has an awesome upscaller (compared to the 360). I use the PS3 for all my media needs (Discs, Netflix and Media Streaming from my PC).

The tactical map is suuuuper slow and laggy. When it does finally load in, it quickly recenters without an animation or anything, which is disorienting.

Empire > Overview > Search should probably trim() the input so as to ignore trailing spaces (I think most keyboards automatically add a trailing space when completing a word).

Unless names can be different by only a trailing space, in which case that should be fixed too, then this :)

Last I tried I couldn't find any results if I searched with more than one word. With just one word the search seemed to work just fine.

Calculations are wrong when using the "lock" on the Focus tab.

To repro:
1. Set one slider to 50%, and another to 0. The other two should be non-zero (and add to 50%).
2. Lock the 50% slider.
3. Adjust the two non-zero sliders. Note the more you adjust them, the lower and lower their total gets.

I love games about space, so I'd love to see people back this - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1889906682/the-phoenix-syndicate/

(Also, despite the boring VO in the video, it looks pretty fun)

I would love to get 9 like-minded Seattlite/Eastsiders to play-test Sackball with me?

Count me in! A few questions the rules raise:
- How do you quickly and visibly mark what team owns each capture zone?
- What would be the regulation weight of the sack? Probably different for different leagues/skills/ages.
- The single point per zone system seems pointless when zones keep changing control. In the end only winning the round would matter. Or are you only given a point for capturing a neutral zone? Seems weird since that would be easier that capturing an opponent controlled zone.
- How do you prevent endless stalemates if rounds end after controlling all zones?
- Rule proposal: gender neutral.

Anyway, sounds fun. I bet in practice it could work really well with some small tweaks.
