Starting when you walk in the gate, you have no idea what is going on because they don't supply a schedule. When we got to the stands, it was scary to say the least walking up the stairs as the wood was dilapidated, rotten, there were screws missing and boards placed on top of the original seats which were held in place by screws. There were not a lot of entries as advertised on the website. We sat through the show, clean ups took a lot longer then we're used to. There was a lot of unofficial people on the track at the time of cleanups. In order to purchase food, you had to purchase tickets first which were non-refundable, (so don't buy more then you can eat). The french fries were put in the fryer for a total of three minutes and were not cooked right through. The philly steak and cheese were made with nacho cheese and while I didn't mind, they were not worth the six dollars paid for them. You could buy an energy drink for three dollars, which was a mini monster and not worth the price. We stayed through the show and delays while waiting for the big finale of the jet car, which didn't happen as the car was not running. The commentators weren't quite sure what was going on at any given time. They didn't have a list of names or what was happening next. It helps a lot during the clean ups and crashes if the commentators keep the talk going, but the ones we had were deadpan and monotone. We had one laugh during the entire show and it was from a guest announcer. This was not our first time at the drag race, so we know what was missing, but our friend, who had never been before, has lost the interest in going back again. It's a shame really, because there is soooooo much excitement at the races that it should be a fun and enjoyable time for everyone and Cayuga just did not meet the standard.
