My family and myself had a wonderful experience at Crab Catchers. The food was delicious (I had the softshell crab sandwich) and the service was great. In my opinion, better than anywhere I have been in calabash. It was a very busy night, with a bit of a wait, however the full bar outside kept everyone waiting happy. --- on a side note-- if you are on vacation during peak season, you should absolutely expect a wait on being seated, and for your food, and in no way should that make for a bad review. It's VACATION season. Don't want to wait?? Go to McDonald's. I shuck oysters and bartend in my hometown in a very popular restaurant , so I know the difference between a lazy "give no shits" staff, and a busy restaurant. I'd give Crab Catchers 6 stars if I could. I will most definitely be back.

Food took more than 45 mins to come out, Flounder dinner was the worst I ever had....dry, overcooked and far too expensive....service did not explain what was happening. First and last time I will eat there... Overall price of $66 for 3 dinners we received was outrageous...

Marty & I had a terrific meal, great service and nice beverage. Was too cool to sit outside but inside was just what I expected. W eat there 3/24/2015.

I was a little apprehensive with some of the negative reviews! This place was awesome. The views were breathtaking, the seafood fresh as it gets and delicious, and an atmosphere like no other! Maylay at the bar was fabulous! Will definitely return!

We just ate at this establishment and it was by far the worst place I have ever dined at. The food was bearable but the service was TERRIBLE! You would think after ordering a $200.00 meal the service would be decent? The waitress made us feel like we were a burden, and completely ignored us on several occasions. This restaurant was recommended to us. I would be extremely embarrassed to recommend this "joke"of a restaurant to my worst enemy! Please seek another seafood restaurant and do not waste your time or money on supporting a business that obviously does not value their patrons! Take my advice and go to McDonald's before entering this place!

Food is always SPOT ON! Great dinner tonight. Glad that they weren't very busy. Being in the restaurant business I don't give a 5 str rating easily. It was worth the money spent. Kudos.

We sat outside at the bar that faces the inter coastal waterway on Aug 7, 2014. The ONLY good thing about this place is the view. It is fine if you want to get a drink at the bar yourself and look at the view before having dinner at a better restaurant. If you are looking for somewhere to sit down and have a nice dinner and fine service while experiencing the view, this is not the place. Their service was poor. Took about 15 minutes to get a beer after ordering it and had to go hunt down the waitress to remind her we did not get our drinks. We ordered a couple appetizers to split and the food was horrible. For a place right on the water, I thought the seafood would be great but I was wrong. We got the calamari, crab and shrimp dip, and buffalo shrimp to split. The calamari was very breaded and not much taste. The rings were tiny; it felt like you were only eating the breading. The crab and shrimp dip was served cold, came in two plastic ramekins that you would normally have dipping sauce in, and was served with Mexican tortilla chips. You could actually tell the dip had sat in those containers for a while because the top had a film on it like it had not been stirred in a while. The buffalo shrimp was not bad but for $10.25 I could have put Texas Pete on shrimp and made it a lot better than that. Needless to say, IF we go back to this place, it will be for a drink and the view before we go somewhere better for dinner. We will not be back to eat, we did not leave happy. Oh and, my fiancé has been showing signs of food poisoning. He has been on and off the toilet for hours now. Definitely from their food, not good.
