Drove down to the college to take a couple of things Amber left here over winter break that she didn’t want to haul to CA on her visit to see Jade, and as I was heading down, I thought, “I’m seeing lots of my favorite numbers today....”

As I headed back, at one of my stops I looked to the right and saw 6326, a combination of the numbers, and I decided to get my out my phone to see if I could get a shot before traffic moved forward, blurry or not.

Then at my next stop, I looked ahead and saw 6327. (You can see on the time stamps at the top that they were taken one minute apart.)

Keeping an eye out now for 6328.

Most of us accept a reality that has been defined by consensus, but what do you do, if one day, reality shifts?

Abuse and Hatred – An Unusual Path to a Deeper Understanding

Lundy Bancroft’s book, Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men clearly explains abusive behavior and in the process of understanding how I dealt with it, I developed some important perspectives about hate.

A MUST READ about joking by Jason P. Steed, attorney, who used to be an English professor. He wrote his PhD dissertation on "the social function of humor" and found something important:

Jokes about socially unacceptable things aren’t just "jokes." They serve a function of normalizing that unacceptable thing, of telling the people who agree with you that, yes, this is an okay thing to talk about.

Thank you for doing this, Kristene Perron! Your intro post is beautifully written, it carries an incredible sense of inner strength, and your perspectives are amazing!

And while words never seem like enough, my deepest condolences on the losses you share in your post.
