Don't Mess With Texas? Ten Other State Slogans Turned To Romance-Novel Titles
25 2011 at 6:01 AM Romance writers are up in arms because Texas is suing one of them for using Don't Mess With Texas as a title for a book the state finds too steamy. The Texas Department of Transportation says the phrase is trademarked and they have to take steps to protect it; romance-novel ...

*CALLING ALL ROMANCE WRITERS! *-

For those of you who don't know me, I was the founder and creator of RomEx, GEnie's popular Romance Writer's Exchange. I also worked on Delphi, AOL and a variety of other places online..

Now, if you notice, we romance writers are scattered all over G+. I've put as many of us in circles as I can, but I'm sure I'm missing many of you. In an effort to bring us all together, I've scheduled a trial "hangout" for tomorrow night:

TUESDAY, JULY 19th @ 7:00 PM

To get to the hangout itself, come back to my page (+Rebecca Sinclair) - https://plus.google.com/112070435700031049440/ - I also linked to it below) - and you'll find another, separate link provided once the get together starts. If you somehow get to the hangout area without the link on my page, look for the area labeled Romance Writers Room.

This will be just an informal get together, something to give everyone a chance to mingle and say hi, share some juicy news or gossip, and maybe plump up a circle or two. There won't be a guest speaker, there won't even be a structured talk.

I expect to be in the "room" until about 8 or 9 o'clock. Depending on what's going on, maybe longer. You are under no time-restrictions; you are free to stop by or leave any time the room is open, you won't be disrupting anything.

A quick tip for first-timers: even though this is a casual get together, you still want to put your best foot forrward. The dress-code is still business casual.

*Cocktails will be served.

Here's a chance to give feedback on the integration of Gmail and Google+

Hi everybody!

I'm Mark Striebeck - Engineering Manager for Gmail frontend. As you can imagine, we are working on several Gmail / Google+ integrations. But similar to some of my Google colleagues, I want to use the creativity and momentum here for some larger brainstorming in a Hangout on Tuesday, July 12 at 3pm (PDT).

I'm pretty sure that all of you use some email client - many probably Gmail. But regardless of the client:
- What email features would make it easier to interact with Google+?
- How could we integrate Google+ features into Gmail?
- How can we integrate social concepts in Gmail to make the email experience itself better?

If you have some interesting ideas, let me know if you want to join me at the hangout and/or write and discuss them in this doc ( please let me know if you want to contribute, and I'll give you access!!! ): https://docs.google.com/document/d/118_mtbmqPN2Xsh3Ufh2ri8E_JjS9VqKfpCU3yGsGQrM/edit?hl=en_US

Romance novelists gathered at a seminar to learn how to dress—and undress—heroines in their books. Bodice ripping was complicated—ladies in the 1800s wore a dozen layers, including stockings, garters,...

LOL This video illustrates the power of a great story! It's a French advertisement, but there are English subtitles.
