Which is why the actual
physical requirements should be the criteria, not gender or requirements that go beyond what is needed. In other words, if someone can meet the requirements needed for the task, their gender should not be an issue. Not all combat positions require great physical strength, and possibly the requirements used for selection for some combat positions may be inappropriate. The Israelis seem to do OK with women in combat roles, African warlords use children who aren't going to be any stronger than a full grown woman.
