This weekend celebrated the 110 year of Harley Davidson. I was extremely excited to go out and see all the bikes. I always wanted a ride on a bike (and I plan on getting that ride soon!). So on Saturday, my boyfriend, neighbor, and I decided to go to Water Street to see the Harley’s. This was very fun dude to the fact I grew up in a biker home and haven’t seen this culture in a while. I was highly disappointed though. While we were on Water Street, we wanted to go inside some bars just to see if they were having any kind of specials. Like how Red Rock Salon had an outdoor live band, with food and games. We wanted to check out the bar called Coyote Ugly. From looking on the outside, it looked like a nice bar. Well it wasn’t! The bouncers carded me and allowed me to enter. Then they carded my neighbor and let her enter. Then they carded my boyfriend and turned him away. This sparked my interest. When I asked why he wasn’t allowed in the bar, he said it was just for the night and that he didn’t have the proper clothing on. Mind the fact he had on a pair of blue jeans, a belt, and a nice black shirt. So when I asked what was wrong with the clothing he was wearing the bouncer said it’s just for tonight. I became extremely mad. I felt as if he was being discriminated due to the fact he is black and everyone around was majorly white. This made me extremely mad. Usually I am hot headed and would snap on the bouncer but I walked away to cool off. I was still yelling and cursing them out, but I was more “lady” like and walked away. I haven’t been this upset about something that didn’t actually happen to me in a long time. I really can’t understand how people can sit there and judge someone by what they looked like. Since I was so mad, I started yelling at my neighbor and boyfriend. I started to ask them why the bouncers let me in then. I was wearing a black and white dress but with a big purple jacket, leggings, and bright blue flip flops. I looked more ridiculous then the two of them combined but they allowed me to enter the bar. Then I went on a ramping spree of how they let women in with barely to any clothes on at all, but they would not let my boyfriend in because he didn’t have the “right” clothes on. Overall, I came to conclusion that this bar will never get me (nor my friends) to come back to it again. They have racist, discriminating, sexist and overall rude employees there and I will not take a stand with that. I just can’t believe that this happened. If my boyfriend was white, he would have gotten into the bar with no problem. There were men inside the bar wearing way worse outfits then my boyfriend, yet they were white and allowed into the bar. There is no excuse to why he was not allowed to enter the bar, except the fact they were discriminating him due to the color of his skin. I will argue until I die about how messed up this whole situation was. I just can’t believe hate, due to race, still exists. I thought we were over the fact that the outer color of our skin is different. Just proves that there are still arrogant people in this world.

I'm not really picky of bars...but when the far end smells like a dirty mens locker room, it's time to leave. The smell was quite powerful, very disgusting.

I highly discourage anyone of self-worth from being a patron of this establishment. The environment is trashy, the staff is intentionally rude and most of all they run scams to over-charge guest on their bill --hoping they wont notice. It's easy to handle the trashiness of the establishment as it's somewhat the overall theme. However, being scammed out of money is unacceptable and downright dirty. If you’re visiting MKE or a local just hanging out on Water Street, try Pourman’s next door instead. It’s a much classier pub with a respectable staff. If you’re looking for a “Coyote Ugly” experience, you’d be much happier with simply watching the movie on DVD.

They single you out and straight make fun of you, have the whole bar boo you and then want you to stay. I mean what kind of bar does that to a person. The only person in 2hrs of being there that was called out on a work call. Id rather go to a strip club, they have more respect!
