Been sitting on this post for a week or so. Some thoughts on productivity, and changing bad habits into good habits.
Lately I've been thinking about how habits are formed, and how I can identify and change my own habits.

I've been working with JavaScript a lot lately. Mostly just playing around, trying to understand how the language works, and trying to figure out what the fuck "this" means.

It's been a ton of fun, and I'm learning a lot, and consequently had a nice breakthrough in how I approach any programming problem:
Programming started making a lot more sense to me once I started using comments to map out how the program should work.

I read a lot in 2015, and here's a post I wrote about the best books I read, and why they were my favorites for the year:

Display advertising doesn't work like it used to. How do marketers adapt to an audience that's increasingly burnt out on advertising?

You can't blame users when they adopt technology to block your shitty marketing tactics. Banner ads, pop ups, email spam - these tactics worked until they didn't.

Here's a post I wrote about "annoyance marketing" and why it's a bad way to start a conversation with someone.

I'm a huge fan of Justin Jackson's Megamaker Challenge (http://megamaker.co/challenge/) and here's a post I wrote about the things I'm planning to make, build, or work on in 2016:

Inspired by Justin Jackson's 2016 Maker Challenge, here's a list of things I want to make this year.

What makes content marketing useful? Helping people solve problems, and being of service to your audience.

What's the difference between a system and a goal? It's mostly a matter of perspective, and momentum.
