Interesting how this site attacks Hugh Ross who had nothing to do with this project. What happens when gravity waves are measured in the not to distant future ? Will they apologize to Dr Ross.
 I'd not take that bet as its einsteins last prediction and he has hit everyone so far.
Data is still coming in and more instruments will re do the BICEPTS experiments.
Also this does nothing to discredit the COBE and WMAP data that shows a Big Bang beyond question. This experiment was not to prove the big bang rather to show which model of inflation if any was correct. The bible says the universe stretches 17 times so Im confident inflation will be proven.

Clearly non-science. God reveals. Man assumes and makes up stories. Don't add to God's Words or He will show you to be a liar.

Where does the Bible state that the universe stretches 17 times, PLEASE?

Francois, I could look that up. I know that it does make the statement more than once. Search for the phrase: stretched out the heavens.

I was hoping that Vaugn Mancha would give the verse

Sorry. I have been a little bit busy. Here are some: Isa 42:5  Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
Isa 45:12  I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
Isa 51:13  And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
Jer 10:12  He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

+Francois Deyzel as to the universe stretching its on AIG and reasons.org.
or do biblegateway search heavens and stretching.
btw i meant to say there are 13 verses.
cheers

Yeah, about that "stretching"... It says it stretched, as in: one time event. Not an ongoing phenomenon. It stretched it once, full stop.

At any rate, provide evidence outside of that story book of yours that it actually happened that way.
In other words:
Step 1: Define what a "god"-thing is;
Step 2: Go look for it;
Step 3: Provide evidence that:
(A) it is in fact a "god"-thing;
(B) It is your "god"-thing;
(C) It "stretched" "the heavens".
Your time started more than 2000 years ago... Better get a move on... ^.^

+Wilbert Lek wrong. The Hebrew specifies there was an intial streatch but then others say there is continuing strearching.
Inflation agrees w this.

+Wilbert Lek Seven verses employ the Qal active participle form of the verb natah. This form literally means “the stretcher out of them” (the heavens) and implies continual or ongoing stretching.

This means the old testament speaks of god stretching out the heavens continually in 7 verses 3 thousand yrs before astronomers knew that  dark energy exists.
