Introduction

Kutztown University, founded in 1866, achieved university status in 1983, and currently offers a diverse range of excellent academic programs within four colleges - Business, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences and Visual and Performing Arts - to prepare individuals for successful careers.

Kutztown location offers the “best of both worlds” as the campus is situated on 289 acres in a beautiful rural Pennsylvania Dutch community, and also within driving distance of several major cities including New York, Philadelphia, Allentown, and Reading.

In 2010, enrollment at the university included 10,707 students from 31 states and 62 nations.  A well-rounded program of athletic, cultural, and social events and activities satisfies nearly every taste.
